Hey ladies, thanks for the welcomes!

Happydays, I am pretty sure you could rescue the school shirts with one of those washing add ins - white rescue special powders. I used one a few years ago for Mr L's shirts. Can't remember which one it was now, but it did the trick. Hope your back pains have subsided now! I do yoga to keep mine at bay - it is the only thing that seems to work. If I don't do at least one or two sessions a week I really feel the difference being desk-bound Monday - Friday.

Hi Sammie, thanks for adding me to the list! I am having a pamper myself day and chill around the house day today - eyebrows are on my list too :D. I have no suggestions about the other area - I do wonder how I will prepare closer to the time (although I don't suppose it will be top of my concern list!).
Hi Mozzy - congrats to you too! Go team blue! :j

Emmylou - I heard the same thing about the boys birth rate declining. Until I found out I was team blue and then all of a sudden boys are popping up everywhere. Last year, pretty much everyone I know who was preggers had a girl though! It is funny how many boys there are on this forum though! Glad to be in such good company! :D

Ginvzt - Mr L thinks the dimmer is a great idea. He said we had to buy different bulbs so he is clued up already. Luckily we have both a B&Q and a Homebase within a reasonable walk from home so I think we will be taking a wander down there tomorrow to pick up the necessary bits and pieces. Your story about the wedding veil tickled me pink :p

BB - I am with you on the tutti bambini. It comes in vanilla white too for the same price I see and am sorely tempted. I will hold off for a while, but have been thinking for a while that I want a chair like that in the nursery with stool too. All the talk of white chocolate cookies and muffins yesterday must have influenced me too. Mr L & I stopped at M&S for a payday treat dinner (as we had some vouchers through) and some cookies slipped into my shopping basket. I haven't really had cravings, but since being preggers I do eat more sweet things than I used to and white choc cookies are a recent fave. The boy must have a sweet tooth like his Dad (that is my excuse and I am sticking to it)! :rotfl:

    Good morning ladies :)

Sammie no news yet as such on MIL, she had a phone call yesterday (24 hours after the tests) giving her an app for Friday 9th to see the consultant, so have no idea if thats a good or bad thing??
As for "hair down there" I`ve left mine! Figured i`d be more embaressed with a patchy mess than au-natural, so to speak hahah!! My eyebrows are done, legs are shaved, toenails arent painted but are trimmed ;) so will do! Have somehow managed to have my socks on still when giving birth to all the girls??? lol

Ro, thanks for vibes, think urs may have worked last night as got up this morn with blood on my pantyliner!! Its a dark red clot and some streaky pink stuff too?? Only ever had a kinda show with DD2, and i basically had mild/slight bleeding all day and then started labour at 6.30pm! So fingers crossed for tonight!!

DD3 is poorly and we are out of calpol! Luckily a friend is popping to the shop, i`m too scared to go anywhere now!

Happy Due Date to Icey :) Hope ur not left waiting too long :) xxx

    Welcome Lixi :)

I had a very interesting conversation today....apparently there is a period of low birth rate for boys atm.....and its getting worse or something! "they" (whoever that is!) are worried about the future for boys! Wherever this reasearch is, or whoever did this reasearch, i`d like to invite them to join our forum hahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    xx

Emmylou - I think if it is true, we should be more worried about the girls. Fewer boys = more competition on the dating front. At least our boys will have a lot of ladies to choose from :rotfl:

    Happy due date Icey.
Gin - I hope you enjoy your evening. Have you tried tonic water for the cramps?
Emmylou - maybe this is the start of you meeting your little man. I hope it is. Keep us updated.
Is it wrong if I don't get dressed all day? I just cant really be bothered and my pjs are so comfy. Bending over is becoming a real pain in the bum and it's taken me about an hour just to collect washing and bring it downstairs and it hasn't even made it into the kitchen yet. I need a conveyor belt or something.
Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday

Quick question for all you organised ladies getting near your due dates or those who are mums already, have you bought in babygros and vests in advance, and if so how many of each size? I don't have a clue how many of each a baby gets through in a day. Our baby is due in the summer, and again I don't know if she'll need to wear a babygro and vest at the same time, or if she'd be too warm. Our house is really well insulated, and a bungalow as well so I wouldn't be comfortable leaving the window open overnight as it's downstairs onto the front street. I have 3 of each in the early baby sizes (up to 7lbs or so) and 7 of each in the newborn sizes (up to 11lbs). I won't buy any more until I know how far along it looks like I might get and what size she's due to be, but it would be good to have an idea of what I'll need. I assume that the sizes are a bit flexible anyway, and the baby isn't going to protest at having an extra inch in the feet on a babygro anyway!

As u are having a summer baby, i`d sugest getting the all in ones that dont have feet, and then u can always put socks on :) They generally stop at the knees, my DD3 was a May baby and lived in the things! As for how many vests....I have around 20 newborn, 20 size 0-3months! Sleepsuits about 15 newborn and 10 of 0-3 months. He has lots of outfits in both sizes too. I should add that we have been given/brought alot already. I only buy the cheap vests, as i`m afraid i`m the sort that if a nappy explodes poop, the whole lot goes in the bin!!!

Still nothing happening here :( bleeding has stopped i think.

Happy i wasnt going to get dressed today just incase my waters went as i`m in my last pair of clean trousers (leggings are both in the washing machine or drying and jeans need ironing...) but thought i best get dressed as rolling up at hosp in the day in my pjs didnt appeal lol! xx

Well I am proud to still be in my pyjamas. I find getting dressed is not high on my priority list today.
Are you feeling any different Emmylou?

just feeling a bit crampy really. I dont feel like eating alot, so have been snacking on chocolate, biscuits and crisps, and drinking coke, stuff to keep my sugar/energy levels up! I must admit i feel a bit like i remember feeling with DD2, but i dont want to think i do, incase nothing happens, if that makes sense?! Just wanna get the girls into bed and get into a nice hot bath :) Might go thru my hosp bags in a bit just to double check everything! Knowing my luck i`ll empty it all then my waters will go or something!

Well done for staying in ur pjs happy ;)

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend xx
