Hi Teerah, thanks so much for your post. I have done a bit of reading but mainly official NHS stuff so I guess it stands to reason it will be rather one sided! I had to have the syntocin drip last time because although I was having contractions, things weren't happening quickly enough and my waters had broken about 40 hours before the contractions started. Like you say, any intervention makes it much more likely to end in a section.
That's really interesting about the monitoring, it does seem rather over the top. I was monitored pretty normally the first time and that wasn't overly intrusive and my DD never showed any signs of distress. Having to be on a drip constantly' just in case' seems way over the top to me, so if I can decline the IV at least if would feel more normal.

I was wondering about Lovecrafting aswell. Haven't seen her for a few days. Hope she is ok.
Liking the bump Icey - wish mine was a little more pronounced and not as flabby!!!
Has anybody else had a UTI in pregnancy? Are they common and what do they do?
My sample showed white cells the other day and I just haven't been able to stop peeing all weekend so I'm sure there is something going on. Should I phone the midwife tomorrow or wait til they get back to me?
