Well, I am ready for my appointment. Questions written down (doesn't mean I will be allowed to ask anything), all stuff from hospital is in the bag, hope all goes well. MIL gave me some urine dip sticks, so decided to do a test this morning, it showed leukocytes and possibly a bit of protein according to OH, but I didn't think there was ny protein.
Re OBEM last night, I couldn't believe the sent that lady saying she is first time mum. She has given a birth before! Ok, it was 22 weeks and the baby was sleeping, but with all she had to go through, I was expecting them to keep her for a bit at least. I think it just shocked me thatvthey told her it is your first time and go home.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Congratulations on baby Nicholas Van.
I don't know what to say Ravenlady except I hope you get things sorted soon so you're happier.
Sorry for the GD Amysquash.
We went to the Mothercare event Monday night, at first I thought it was a bit pointless, but there was a cloth nappy lady who was great to chat to, and then the feeding lady who talked us through breastfeeding, expressing, bottle and steriliser types etc, got a bag with some free mothercare newborn hats, lots of full size Avent baby toiletries and a 10% off in store voucher and we won 3 sleepsuits in the free raffle - really glad we went. We didn't get anyone at any point try to sell us anything, not even the car seat department when they showed us how to fit them etc, the lady with the cribs did show us which features are worth having and which are pointless, and the features of different mattresses, but she only even told us prices when we asked.
Midwife at the hospital weighed me on Monday, I've gained 1stone 3lbs and I'm only 23 weeks.
Completely shattered today as baby decided after a very quiet day that 11.30pm last night was her wake up time, and she proceded to kick, dance, punch and star jump her way around my uterus for over an hour and a half. I was hugging DH at one point and she even woke him up!
Has anyone's nursery got a theme? I was thinking of doing it a bit Beatrix Potter, but the few nursery bits I've found all seem to be blue. So then I considered a Miffy theme but I'm not sure about it. Not exactly the biggest decision in the world but I'm on bed rest with a completely empty, completely white room, my mind wanders.
Another one with a DH who is 'thinking ahead' here... thinking being a very loose term. He passingly commented to his auntie last weekend that our buggy 'converts to a double if we have another one this time next year'!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Just typed a long post but then lost it and can't be bothered to type it all again. very stressed sorting out yet more pay/HR issues at work, they're useless.
Suitable hugs, congrats etc. too all those that need them.
Dinah, have you seen this site?

Some of the nursery stuff is lovely, we saw it in their nursery shop in keswick but I wanted something a bit more bright and colourful. We ended up going for Mothercare's Humphrey's corner range. I've always loved Humphrey's corner.0 -

morning
managed to fall back to sleep about 5.00 so felt like utter poo when alarm went off at 6.30!! i cant believe how many baby boys have been born recently, there must be a swarm of girls coming soon im sure of it!!
OBEM was sad last night, both babies were cuties though and i loved the name Faith Rose i think it is a really pretty name. got to pop into town today to buy ds1 a new booster seat and really need to drag dp to southampton so we can get a mattress for the moses basket as with just over 3 weeks to go im starting to panick now and a mattress is obviously very important, need a stand for the moses basket too actually!! arghh must get on at him!!
our wardrobes still havent been delivered either so our clothes are piled everywhere!!
good luck today Happydays and Ginvzt. xxx:)DS1 10yrsDS2 7yrs :)DS3 born March 2012

Congratulations Van!
Ravenlady, I hope things work out the way you want them too, hugs to you.
Baby clothing, we are using vests and body suits, with a coat and hat for outdoors. I've got 15 vests and 10 body suits in newborn that seem to be enough, we are pretty lucky that Seb is not pukey so his only changes are nappy related, and we are getting better at those. DH is getting much better at recognising the pointy pen1s of doom. We use 1-2 muslins a day and a towel at every bath. Socks have not been needed as most things are footted. Scratch mits have been used for gloves, I'm trying to file his nails regularly as he loves his fingers out.
Complaining about pregnancy, I did almost all of my complaining on this forum and occasionally to DH and best friend. I found other peoples complaints helpful, cause it meant I wasn't alone and often got useful tips and solutions, so I would encourage everyone to discuss what they need too.
I find it difficult to discuss personal stuff with friends and few know about any of my miscarriages, none know the extent. I wish I could be like Lovecraft in being open about it, but my throat tightens and I cannot get the words out. I have struggled with pregnant friends and siblings, as my losses always seem to coincide with there pregnancies. I don't want to bring them down and spoil there happy time. I do strongly agree with Lisa, miscarrages and stillborns shouldnt be hidden and pushed aside. We are so lucky to finally have a healthy baby, I never felt confident in my pregnancy but I had to try to keep positive, I'm still in a little bit of shock it worked out so well!
I am so grateful for this forum!:ANeeding to save all the money, lots of MSE learning still to do

I wasn't 10 stone before I got pregnant!!!! Last time I was 10 stone it was 2003.... But then I met OH and we just love food!
I have put nearly 11kg (1st 10lb) in this pregnancy so far and I am only 24 weeks!!!!! With my 'exercise/moving" reducing further along I get, I guess this is going to be a 'heavy' pregnancy, with quite a bit of 'baby weight' to lose after!!!!
I am 35 weeks today and have put on almost 2 stone, but nothing in the last month, mind you, all my xmas chocolate has gone and I am trying to be good, well as good as I can be.
Sorry ravenlady to hear about your other half - hope you are ok. I had a dry socket when i had a tooth out, it is so painful I know how you must feel. It is when the skin/gum heals too quickly and an infection has got into the socket as it is closing up. The dentist had to scrape away the healing gum twice for me before the infection went away, make sure you go back and get some more antibiotics, it generally doesn't heal on it's own.
6 more working days for me, yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeee0 -
Congrats Van!0

Oooo I ve got such a craving for dairylea and crusty bread now!! May have to pop over to Sainsburys on my lunch break and get some. Yum!
I want to have a look at the sleepsuits in the TU clothing event anyway, after all the advice on here I am hoping to find a couple of neutral ones with inbuilt sratch mitts.
Re nurseries, ours is having a Very Hungry Caterpillar themeIts my fave childrens book and huby likes it too. We ve just got white walls and furniture but have got wall stickers and bits with the hungry caterpillar on. I ve also found a cushion for my nursing chair on ebay. Cant wait to buy that when I get paid tomorrow. Hubby also came home with a giant cuddly hungry caterpillar to put on the shelf the other day. So cute!
