I said about weight the other day and have put on 2 st so far
so less than previous pregnancies!
Back from physio, tbh she didnt tell me anything that i either didnt already know (from reading on here too!) or just isnt common sense. She did however give me a huge tubbee(sp?) grip for around my pelvis and belly. Will try it out 2moro and hope it helps at least a lil bit!
Grow bags, we used them for the first time with DD3, and got a fair few from the like of Asda and Tesco. When in the sales u can get them for around £6 each, and they really are very good, even when washed loads! Have been given a few this time from my cousin as her baby didnt get on with them, so have a Hungry Caterpillar one (sainburys) a Giraffe one (babies r us) a Winnie the pooh one (babiesrus) and another yellow one with a giraffe on that i cant recall where its from!
Whoever said about buying more blankets, i had a thing thru the door this morn and Matalan have a good deal on 2x crib/pram blankets for £5, saving up to £7! SO thinking they must be the £6 ones??Mummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T

Also. Has everyone signed up to the Hipp Organic Baby Club?
I got my welcome pack through today and it had a little comfort blanket with an elephant on it. Quite cute for a freebie.
On the weight front, I now weigh 5kg less than I did at 6 weeks pregnant, so I'll def be smaller after I've popped. Not sure all the sickness was worth it though.
10 days till induction here now. It's getting a bit close  x
Knew I had something else to say. Lovecrafting. if you PM me your address I'll send you those bodysuitsx

Yep it's got to be the Surf for us as I don't drive and take the local Metro (like the tube but in the NE England!) everywhere so it needs to be dinky and light and turn on a sixpence!
If bubs stays put for a bit you'll have time to get fully informed and find out the results of the deep clean, might be worth mentioning your concerns to the midwife though so she can reassure you and others.
Right, gotta get back to work, one our to go to do a final read through my notes before this big meeting, I see LO as my lucky charm with me at all times!
Seems sensible, I don't drive either, our pram doesn't fold up that small but it's quite neat other ways if that makes sense? So it'l suit me for getting about. I can walk into town and back so don't have to worry too much about public transport, only really using the bus at the minute because I'm struggling with the walkBluebell1000 wrote: »Gilly, was it you saying about weight a couple of pages back? Midwife weighed me yesterday and I've put on 11kg, a little over 1 1/2 stone. She said anywhere from 10 to 15 kg is pretty standard. 38 week appointment went fine, no problems, so my next will be at 40 weeks, eek!
I've noticed a lot more low down pressure and aching, and needing to wee more since baby dropped, so you probably are getting signs of yours heading downwards Lucy!
Oh well that's cheered me up slightly, still can't believe it though as people keep telling me I look like I've lost weight? :eek:My Mum and sister bought Myself a DH are video camera for Christmas too!
Yeah apparently they're a must have, who knowsI'm sure we'l use it.
Lucy, multi quote wouldn't work with you for some reason. My bump isn't sore as such, few weeks ago though it felt really bruised? Only way I can think to describe itit's just heavy and in the way now.

I've put on about 13kg!! But not too bothered about it. I've eaten what and when I want to keep myself feeling ok during the pregnancy. And its worked for me. Plus, the year before last I lost 15kg in 6mnths before I went back home to South Africa for a holiday. So I pretty much know what I need to eat to lose it. And breastfeeding should hopefully help if I can manage it!!
Plus, over the past week, i'm like a little eating machine. Last night I was munching on toast at 11pm whilst watching ER!DFD February 2012

Oh I've eaten like a pig through my whole pregnancy. At least 1 dominoes a week for almost 9 months. I know that's why I've put on the weight :rotfl:
Lirins little baby Rose is adorable, she's such a contented little baby, it's amazing. I even held her for like 2 minutes and she didn't cry, I see that a result, as babies normally hate meThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

Wow, I've never actually held a baby yet, they look too scary. Will have to get used to it soon though!
Back to weight discussion, I'm looking forwards to when my Wii fit stops telling me offI wish it had an 'I'm pregnant' option
DH has made chocolate chilli cookies which are just amazing so I'm working my way through those. Our chickens have started laying again much earlier this year than we'd expected, so we have lots of eggs to use... and as I don't like egg very much, it's a great excuse to eat cake.

I am 26 + 2 and have already put on around 10kg!! Luckily it looks like its all bump and boobs at the moment though (well in my unbiased opinion
) I know why though, I never really ate chocolate before but now I cant get enough of it
Wonder if thats means I will have a girl?

I don't understand the weight I've put on, as I don't look like I have apart from bump, I'm still wearing pre pregnancy jeans at almost 38 weeks, I'm proud of that! The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Laura I've put on about 10kg too (if I've calculated right...about 1.5 stone). Mine must be mostly bump as I haven't put anything much on elsewhere but bump is pretty small too!
Well got the anti-d done OK at the hospital. The midwife I saw was lovely, asked me if everything was ok and baby was moving ok so I told her it was moving but was a bit quieter than normal so she got the doppler out and had a listen....first time I've heard it!
I don't know what other hospitals are like but at ours there is the ADU (antenatal day unit) where they send you if you need any monitoring or anything out of the ordinary. Its just one bit room with lots of armchairs that have a curtain that can be drawn if they need to do anything in private. I could sit in there all day watching the goings on, I find it fascinating listening to what everyone is there for and what happens! Obviously they have a couple of individual rooms for anything thats really private or sensitive.
Then I went to asda to use some more huggies coupons. Snotty woman at the till told me I could only use 1 when I handed over 5. SO I asked her why when it didn't say that on the coupon and I'd used a few together the other day. She said 'its over half the bill', my response was 'yeah, good isn't it!!!' lol! So then she tried to say the till wouldn't accept them anyway so I asked her to just try and of course it did!! Snotty old baggage!
I now have 8 packs of huggies size 1, is that too many? i'd really like to get some pampers too incase they fit better but don't want to end up with too many. Although at the minute it looks like bubs could be small so may be in size 1 for longer than some babies are.
Also checked out the car seat and base I want in the local baby shop then came home and checked t'interweb. The local shop is cheapest so we'll be going to get them ordered after payday next week. We're going for the maxi cosi cabriofix (in either black or red) and the family fix base as you can then use the same base for the next size up in car seats.0
