I haven't even see sleeping bags for as cheap as that Amymo, the reason we only have one at the moment and it was £35 reduced to half price in M&P
They seem so expensive.

Glad everything is fine love crafting
must be such a relief, with the problems you've had in the past. My fingers are like fat fat fat sausages at the moment! Last time I weighed myself I'd put on 10lbs, checked the other day I've put on a stone and a half  hoping a lot of that is baby and all the extras that entails.
yeah it is a big releif, the midwife on the ward was the midwife who delivered my eldest and she was supprised that i havent had any problems, she kept asking are you sure you havent any srm (spontaious ruptured membraines, or waters breaking early) I was like, yeah trust me if it happens you will know as soon as i do.Not loving being at work today after another lousy nights sleep, despite my dream genii I seem to roll kind of half onto my back with my shoulders onto the bed but still on my left with my legs, my body obviously finds it comfy to sleep twisted like that but my back doesn't like it the next day!
Am v nervous, have a meeting about our funding arrangements and likely cuts this afternoon, could put a downer on the weekend but I am feeling well prepared, DH has promised we can go into town to order our pram tonight as a treat regardless of the outcome!
Re blankets, I find this most confusing! My mam said she had sleeping bags for us but that she still used sheets and or blankets over the top as they're sleeveless, so much conflicting advice and I find the more I read the more questions I have! So far we have four fitted cot sheets, one cotton blanket and four small flannel blankets I bought for swaddling but I have no idea whether they're ok for swaddling or not! It's a big safety issue and worry wart that I am I'll probably end up with more than we'd ever need to cover every eventuality!
Also, anyone notice a normal sleeping bag is around £12 in lots of places, an FSIDs recommended one can be upwards of £20, so much to think about!
swaddling is fine as long as baby dosent overheat, flannel blankets are fine for swaddling hun, and fsids reccomend the expensive ones but they are the same ones pretty much as the others, the cheaper ones are no less safe they may have a different tog level tho. and honestly you can never have enough blankets.
re the bibs: i knit mine so i can tumble dry them, you would be supprised how much you will use them, there handy to have0 -
Annabella - hope your having mummy cuddles soonif not already. Xx

Hi Gilly, our TK Maxx has quite a big baby department and had the Grobags for £25 recently and non-branded 1 togs for £12 and £14. Just read back properly, that hospital is your hospital, so sad, sounds like they're on top of the problem now but heartbreaking news0

I will go have a look in TK Maxx, I can never be bothered because it's such a hovel. I know Mothercare had proper Grobags at about £25-£30 recently and they were on Buy one get one half price, but still seemed a lot to shell out on
I know, tell me about itOH mum's is a nurse and she said the only positive thing I can look at, they will be on red alert at the moment, so I shouldn't worry.

Yep you've got to be prepared to really root around in TK Maxx to get what you need and some parts of the store are just like a jumble sale but they had lots of choice last week, and a few Silvercross bits that match the pram we like so we'll be headed in for another look tonight!
I know not fretting is easier said than done but it's their duty to reassure you, do you have the option of a second choice of hospital in NI? I was offered two but that could be because our postcode borders two local authority areas.0 -
omg i missed that about the hospital0

Is it the silvercross surf you're going for? What colourIt's such a dinky wee pram, not like some of the tanks about at the moment, very cute.
I don't thinkso, the hospital I'm going to is a mile from my house, even less really if you could fly, I can see it at the bottom of my street, but to get there the roads are weird. I've been happy enough with the care I've received so far and I'm not sure I'd want to move, it just unsettled me a bitlovecrafting wrote: »omg i missed that about the hospital

Oh, I just wanted to suggest TK Maxx as well - we have one in the retail park, and it is great to visit in the evening or weekend morning, as it is much quieter then. When we need to buy gifts for friends' babies, I always go there, as it is so much cheaper!
As for the swollen fingers - I know, I am still early, just getting to 20 weeks, but since getting pregnant, my fingers shrunk, and my wedding ring is slipping off! If I shake my hands after washing before drying them, it can go flying (and did on a few occasions). I can wear my engagement ring, which I haven't been able to for a few years, and it is too loose as well! I am sure this is not going to last and soon they will swell up!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
