Your pancakes sound delicious. I have definite pancake envy today.
So what are the colours in contention for your nursery? I suppose with you having one if each it's not a simple choice
xxx
We don't know the colour yet... I don't like pink anyway and we are having blue in another room (study),so would not have gone for those colours anyway. Got some brochures from B&Q, so keep looking.oh, and we are having another room green(ish) - Nordic Spa from Dulux, so green is off as well probably. Will find something.
Hips are hurting as I sit here on the chair, the pain above bump/under boobs is here from early morning today, my back hurts, and if image upstairs, my legs feel as if I have just been for a run! Sounds like a fun day to start with. Never mind, we are on the other side of the 24 weeks, and I don't think we have more than 14-15 weeks to go! But might have to resort to working on the sofa again...
I looked on eBay for second hand breast pumps, and I think I ma going to get one. Even if I won't be able to use it in the end, the medela pump in style seems to be going for around 50-60 pounds instead of 230+ new, so I can always resell it afterwards for not much loss. Anyone knows if Medela pump in style or freestyle is better?Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Gin. Morrisons have the manual Avent pump in for 5 quid if you want something just to try xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Morning Ladies,
Gin, I have bought the avent manual pump to try, it was cheap enough that if I dont get on with it it doesnt matter - sadly not as cheap as £5 though!!
Just listened to my hypnobirthing CD for the first time when I got to work, probably not a good idea as I now want to just sit here and relax instead of working but at least it seems to work :0)
Off to the Mothercare expectant parents evening after work, will let you know if it is any good.
Lucy, hope the early morning ginger biscuits are a sign, keep us informed!0 -
Thanks for the tip, but I am sure I want to go with an electric one...
Let us know how the Mothercare evening goes - there is one in town nearby tomorrow, so if it is any good, might have to ring them and see if they still have any places for me!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Morning Gin, not sure if this is much help but I bought a Medela Swing on Ebay and think we paid approx £50 with all the bottles and breast shields...I got on with it but only after buying the largest breast shields separately - if you have big jubblies you may need to consider this as it really makes a difference to the milk flow. The standard size was far too small for me.:o
Medela are fairly quiet too and like you say, their resale is quite easy.
As for the different types of Medela...I'm lost on that one, sorry. x0 -

Hi laura, just wondering what hypnobirthing cd did you buy? I'm thinking of getting one.
Also, do you know anything about the Mothercare evening tonight? i.e. what it involves? My local store has one tomorrow night, but I can't decide whether to go or not - if it's just one big sales pitch I won't bother, but if there's free stuff I might...!
ginvzt - poor you, you sound like you're suffering quite a bit! I always keep an eye on how you're doing as we're due at the same time (although no doubt you'll beat me!) I must say it sounds as though it's much harder carrying twins than just the one!
I'm lucky so far in that apart from my back playing up, I feel pretty good at the moment. Very tired at the end of the day though! And feeling a bit weird today, very light-headed, but I have quite low blood pressure so it's probably just that.
Still confused about which pram to buy - might have to post a new thread on the main board to get some advice from a wide range of people.
Hope everyone's ok, keeping munching the biscuits Lucy, you might need the energy later...!
Have a good day all

Not quite but you're getting there. I've had 10 ultrasounds plus the MRI, have another ultrasound 2 weeks yesterday at the feto-maternal unit then see if/when he wants to see me again. Had a dream last night I was there actually and there was a big coloured lady running around naked!!!!! And they made you have you baby in a tent!!!
The ladies expecting big babies due to OH being tall, I thought mine would be fairly long as I'm 5'8" and DH is 6' but baby is measuring towards the bottom end on all measurements including femur length so I guess I was wrong! Will be interesting to see how much baby has grown at my next scan as it'll be 5 weeks since I had one, I think that's the longest I've ever gone without one lol! And there was me thinking that having to go 20 weeks from the 20 week scan to birth without one would be a long time.....if only I'd known what would actually happen lol!
MIL did do pancakes for pud last night but luckily she didn't try to force feed me them (she has a habit of trying to feed me up and doesn't believe me when I say i don't like something or I'm full!) and let me have grapes instead!
I slept quite badly last night, bump was pretty uncomfortable but I just can't sleep with a pillow, it helps the bump but gets in the way of my legs and arms too much!0 -

A midwife told me once that first babies at least tend to be similar to the mother's birthweight. That being the case, why do I grow giants?0
