ginvzt - poor you, you sound like you're suffering quite a bit! I always keep an eye on how you're doing as we're due at the same time (although no doubt you'll beat me!) I must say it sounds as though it's much harder carrying twins than just the one!
I am sorry, I shouldn't be complaining, it took us a while to get to where we are and I am happy to be pregnant, and doubly so with twins! I just need to take it easy... I will see my consultant tomorrow, maybe she will actually talk to me this time.
I am just whinging. I am putting up a brave face when I see others, but to you lot I am letting it al lout - sorry!!!!! I have an automatic response to 'how are you', to which I always answer 'fine', but I need to prepare myself not to say this to the consultant tomorrow.
Re physio talk that went on couple of pages back: I am quite jealous of someone having proper appointment. I just was invited to 'fit 4 pregnancy' class, where they labelled us all as having SPD, no check if it really is that or something else. I was born 'bottom first' (not the feet) and had dislocated hips, my mum was warned that I shouldn't be giving natural birth, no gymnastics, etc, I was in a brace for about 8 months as well. I mentioned my hips to the lade running the class, but she just brushed it off and said any pains i have in the hips are due to SPD (she didn't even look at me properly or probe me or anything). And any other pain higher up (ribs/back) would be due to the posture (again, she didn't check the posture) and the baby growing. Well, at least we got some advise how to help ourselves (not that any worked yet) and were offered one class of pilates and one class of gym ball. My gym ball is finally on the way from Amazon, so I might be able to start bouncing soon.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
A midwife told me once that first babies at least tend to be similar to the mother's birthweight. That being the case, why do I grow giants?
Oh that's interesting! I was 7lb 8ozs. I'm going to ask the consultant if he can give me an estimated birth weight from the next scan in 2 weeks. I know they're not that accurate but would be interesting to have a rough idea and to see how accurate it is once LO arrives.0 -
When I had my placenta scan, they didn't give me an estimated birth weight, but did give me a current weight. If you assume half pound a week growth till due date, they were spot on! Ignoring the nine days he went over of course.0

Hi laura, just wondering what hypnobirthing cd did you buy? I'm thinking of getting one.
Also, do you know anything about the Mothercare evening tonight? i.e. what it involves? My local store has one tomorrow night, but I can't decide whether to go or not - if it's just one big sales pitch I won't bother, but if there's free stuff I might...!

Hi BB,
I bought the Hypnobirthing the Mongan method from Ebay, it is a book that comes with a CD. A friend of mine used the same and said it was really good. To be honest the book isn't all that (goes in to the history of hypnobirthing and has some amusing suggestions for your partner to help you relax during labor - believe it or not him putting his arms round you from behind and playing with your nipples lol!!!) so if you know anyone with just the CD that might do on its own. Its not expensive, cost me about £12 inc. delivery, brand new.
This is the info on the Mothercare evening:-

Ohh, interesting. I was 8lb something and so far the MW is plotting Elvis at high 8lbs to low 9lbs.

InterestingThat's been pretty accurate for me... I was 6lb 13oz at birth and Elliot was 6lb 14oz. However I was born 2 weeks late and Elliot was 2 weeks early!

Morning lovely ladies. I have now gotten over my pancake envy so all is well.
Had another bad night with my hips. Just as I think I'm getting comfortable the pain starts, so I move positions, then I need a wee. And I must say that actually getting out of bed now and navigating all these pillows I'm having to use is like being on a military manoeuvre. Sometimes I feel like I'm gonna need assembling instructions it's that complicated.

Aargh don't say that! I was 9lb 1oz!
I am a lot smaller than my mum, though, so I'm clinging to that for comfort!

I was 6lb 1/2oz at 2 weeks late, and DD1 was 7lb 5oz at just 4 days late! So dont think that theory worked for me lol! DH was 6 weeks early and 5lb 5oz, so going on the half a pound a week, he woulda been about 8.5 pounds? DD2 was 8lb 6oz (10 days late tho) and DD3 was 8lb 14oz (3 days late!)
5 days to go til EDD eek! People are grating on me tho with the "r u still here" comments......wouldnt mind if i`d actually even reached my due date! Yes i`m still here as baby isnt even due just yet argh!!!!! Toddler group today with DD3 so expecting lots of advise on how to get him out.
My hips havent been to bad the last few nights! Not sure if thats where i`ve been in agony with my ear/tooth/head that i`ve not noticed as much tho?? xxMummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T
