How accurate are fundal height measurements? According towhat I just measured I havent changed since 27 weeks when it measured 28. Am now 31? Wont panic as we have a growth scan on monday anyway so can get accurate measurements then

Not very accurate from what i've been reading. I did hear that they were thinking of stopping using this method to measure.

My midwife said to me they can be a couple of cm either way. Though sometimes it can just be the way baby is lay that makes it smaller or bigger. I saw a consultant and midwife within 2 days and they measured me 4cm difference

right on thursday i will have 5 weeks left, because im fed up lol im thinking about hitting the curries/spicy food starting 2 weeks before he is due starting with mild curries and buuilding up lol..........think ive gone mad lol but i went 2 weeks over with my ds1 and he was a wopper at 9lb 8 back to back and had him vaginaly with vontous (came of 4 times because he was stuck) and i had to be cut and it was awful and slow and very painful as most of the labour pain was in my back because of him being in the wrong position.

Im dreading it and want this baby to be of an easy size and right position would help lol because im dreading it lol

Baby last week was in the right position but i know he could turn, plus i was measuring 32 weeks instead of 34 so i just hope he doesnt pile it all on last minute lol

hope everyone is doing ok, suffering with major heart burn and have had to have my own bottle of milk so i can glug out of it-(how lady like lol):o

I don't really understand how it could be accurate, everyone carries differently. Pretty sure the little midget is head down at the moment. Love watching him/her move around under my skin, can sometimes get a cone shape sticking out next to my belly button which I guess must be a little bottom :0)

Laura - I get that by my belly button aswell. It's weird to see my tummy ripple wheb he moves but it never fails to make me smile

Not been too bad actually. Mum called,son keeps texting to see how I'm feeling,and a few fb messages. I'm expecting more as time goes on tho lol x

*waves hands* I`ve had 3 messages today 1 asking if baby is here, 1 asking how i am and have i had any signs, and 1 telling me i have 6 days left, like i dont know that haha! Had one on Sunday night too from an aunt on fb, and at school people seem shocked i`m still waddling....i still have 6 days til EDD, whats the shock i`m still preg??? lol!!

My measurements have been all over the place, i was 3 weeks ahead at one point, then apparently baby only managed to grow 1cm worth in the space of 4 weeks......With DD3 i was measuring dead on, they said i was all water, small baby. well i had tons of water, she was still 8lb 14oz. DD1 measured dead on, and was only 7lb 5oz. barely any water. 2 weeks b4 i had DD1 a scan estimated a birth weight of 6lb 8oz. So i dont think fundal height measurements are very reliable at all!!!

This baby is head down, but still free, and is always back to back....until i get back in the car to go home lol.
Have had to take my wedding ring off tonight An hour later and my finger is still dented and marked!!! Took the kids to the ball pits tonight, thought i best as it could be the last time for a few weeks!

Cam, I had that theory, start everything most people start at 39 ish weeks, i started at 36 weeks.....I am still here tho must be doing something really wrong! Only thing i havent had is the hot curry, and i`ll wait til next week as i hate curry anyway so dont wanna bother and have it not work!! Figure nearer/just after due date its more likely to help things along! I`m surprised i dont look like a pineapple tho!

Had a nightmare pancake disaster. Made some lovely ones for Callum buy when it came to mine I burnt one and it stuck to the pan. I started to cry and act like an irrational nutter for a few minutes. So i slat the rest of the mixture in the bin and sulked off to the bath with a pack of chocolate hobnobs. After 5 mins all was good. Just now have a job trying to persuade my son I'm not a complete nutjob!
