    Hey!
Apologies for having been away for AGES but it's hard getting to a laptop now...

Had a girl on the 26th January by emergency C-Section but all going well and she is well above birth weight now...

Emmy is doing fine and looks much bigger already

Not sure I will be coming here very often as it's hard to browse one handed on the phone while breastfeeding and don't get much time on the laptop...

    Congratulations!

    Congratulation Tiny tear!!!

I went to my first antenatal class today, council run ones was thinking that I might be one of the oldest there (31) as it was held in a not so nice area where there are a lot of young single mums, but was pleasantly surprised. I like how they also used it to sell their gym membership midway through!!

I'm now fuming as FIL has financial problems and is phoning DH to ask to borrow money. The man is in his mid 50's and he's having to bum money off my soft DH. It's like hello we are about to have a baby!!!!

We are not flush and he's talking about putting debt on to a credit card to lend FIL!! We moved house back in the summer and have a monthly mtg of £1k, there are things that need doing a builder has just quoted £1.5k for that. We are already doing him a favour by letting his lazy daughter live in our house.

There are other family members who have money and aren't about to have a child, go and ask them. I'm not being heartless, but if that was me I'd be ashamed that I'm in my mid 50's with no life savings and sod all to show for their lives.

I'd like to have some time off to spend with my baby, but due to the large mtg I'm probably going to have to go back to work after 18 weeks (full pay) as I can't afford to be on statutory maternity pay and DH wants to lend money to his dead beat dad on a credit card!!!

Sorry rant over now, just needed to get this off my chest!!

Has anyone else experienced pain under their ribs? Not like baby's foot pain, more like pressure from organs pain..

The last week when I've been at work it's gotten steadily worse through the day and is so chronic now that I went to the GP who said to take paracetamol but it's not touching the pain and its made me so miserable I've just been horrible to DH :(. GP said to see about home working as it's being sat on an uncomfy chair at work that's causing it, weekends I've been fine, I just feel I need to be at work as my team needs a lot of hand holding and isn't as productive when I'm not supervising.

    Me, me, me
    I can sympathise totally
I have terrible pains and have the same issue; in pain at work nothing at weekends/evenings.
I spoke to work and was sent a very patronising email......
    Wear flat shoes
    Dont left heavy items etc
and finished with maybe you need a new mattres (!!!!!!?)

I am 38 for crying out loud I think I know the above

So as they have decided to not help and I get full sick pay some of my last 5 weeks at work will be spent at home on my comfy couch :rotfl:

    anyway mini rant over
Good luck to the boldies and looking forward to seeing baby pics soon
