Ah so theres 3 Sotonians on here now as Sammie is in Eastleigh
We moved as we lived in Millbrook, not too far from the docks and it was horrible where we were! We did a mutual exchange to get this house as were in a 2 bed flat too! I miss my friends, but not Southampton, Oh and i miss the shops too! Town here is pants lol!!
I feel like i`ve barely heard this babies heartbeat as the midwife wont listen b4 24 weeks, so had the 26 week app, then the 32, 34 and 36 week, thats it! And at the last app the sonic aid wasnt working properly so could only just hear the heartbeat!
Glad it went down in price Lucyxx

Well you can't really call me a Sotonian as I was never originally from there (I'm a yorkshire gal through and through). Only lived down that way for about 10 years after finishing uni. Then met DH and moved for him back up north (albeit the otherside of the pennines!!).
The town centre is pants, Manchester is far better but i loved living near the coast and not so close to the city... one day i will move out into the country (my big dream)!! Sigh!!
I have been hearing hb since 16 weeks. But as I'm low risk, not really seen the midwife much to hear hb. 16, 25, 28 and now 31 weeks. Not sure when i will see her again... 35 weeks maybe??

Hi Ladies
I was just wondering if anyone on here (other than Snoopytweety) have gestational diabetes, or have had to monitor their blood to see if they have it?? As I just have a quick question that I forgot to ask nurse this morning!!! (dont worry, its not medical advice)
Edit - just realised my comment looks like I dont want Snoopytweetys's advice - I do, its just haven't seen her on here for couple of days!! Ooops!0 -

Afternoon ladies!
First antenatal class for us tonight, really looking forward to meeting everyone, and of course to a well deserved weekend!
I have a definate problem with chocolate, I cannot get enough of the stuff at the moment and I cannot remember the last time I weighed myself
Keep popping back on in the hope that the boldies are amoving, lots of labour vibes coming your ways!
Last night's sleep was farsical, I have a weird pain up by my right rib lately, trying to get seen by the GP as last night it was so bad I cried, then when I did sleep DH woke me up to ask me if he was wearing jeans (he wasn't, he's a sleeptalker!) and made me take the covers off so he could check, then I slept for an hour, then couldn't stop thinking about cereal so got up again, reckon we got three hours between us!0 -

lol - I wouldn't have been offended anyway.
I'm here - lurking, just been in a grump for 2 days as I WANT CHOCOLATE and I now feel too guilty to have any, and feel like because I am recording blood sugars I am being watched lol.
What's up - will see if I can help!
Oh and on the bottles subject, TT are my choice because I have had 7 neices and nephews over the last couple of years and all have by far preferred TT, and the anti colic ones are amazing, they even have a thing in the centre of the bottle that tells you if the milk is too warm! Genius, and not too expensive if you get a good deal, which there normally is somewhere! x xMarried the Man of my dreams 30/08/2008Baby No.1 arrived 04/04/2012, gorgeous little girl after 4 years of fertility issues!!:j:T0 -

Oh - I am glad to see you!! How is it all going? I really feel for you. Even the thought that I 'might' have to cut out chocolate (and sugar in my tea!!) is causing me sleepless nights!! I really truly feel for you.
With regard to my question - dont worry if you dont know the answer... I saw diabetes nurse today to learn how to test my blood for the next two weeks. I have to do it 4 times a day, before breaksfast, and then 2 hours after breakfast lunch and dinner - but what I forgot to ask was (not trying to rub it in honestly) what about snacking inbetween meals (tends to be choc or biscuits!) ?? If I have to wait 2 hours after every snack, I will never get a chance to check my blood!!! As I am only being monitored, she told me to eat my normal diet. So I am guessing that I test blood after main meal, and snack as normal?? What do you think?!! I have left message for hosp to call me, but dont expect a reply anytime soon!!0
