Ah the Silvercross Surf arrived at last, unpacked and despite my throwing my toys out the pram (pun intended!) because it was difficult to put together it's all there and we love it! It's now at my parents until the time comes to have a LO in there, how surreal and exciting!

LO is a little quiet today, she seems to have bursts of activity this week where she used to have quite set periods of activity at certain times of day but I guess the room in there is lessening from now onwards!

    Hello all,
Its my 12 week eve today so i thought i'd say hi. I used to post a lot on MSE, especially the wedding and ttc boards in 2010 but moved away for some reason...

A bit about me, i'm 32, (dh 34) and live in hudds, w yorks- I would be due on Aug 19th 2012, however just after christmas i had some spotting so went to the EPU to get checked out - it turns out i somehow managed to concieve spontaneous triplets! (no family history of multiples either side)

It was a massive shock to say the least, I have been planning non stop since i found out and have been making lists of things we need to buy/ steal/ borrow! The list comes to £2000 atm so i figured its time to get back on MSE.
This pregnancy feels like its in turbo drive, everything moves faster than normal so i suppose my edd will be around 15th July however i'll be lucky to get that far as this is my first and i'm only 5' 2" so i think it'll be more like the end of June. I have my 12 week scan next week so hopefully that'll go ok and i'll get some info about when my due date will be

Have read back a few pages, many labour vibes to those that need them!

what an amazing story, triplets eeekkk you will have to have quite a few possible baby names on your list

i wish you all the best, keep us posted. have the babies on 7th july my bday:D

i am just expecting one on 30th july.

    Hello ladies,

Can anyone recommend any nice decaf tea bags? I've been told by the midwife that I need to cut right back on my caffeine intake due to my previous mc's. I've been drinking decaf coffee but I can't drink much of it as it makes me feel a bit icky. I've tried the tetley decaf tea bags and they were disgusting and tasted nothing like tea.

    xx

my hubby just has tesco decaf. i think redbush is really good as well(contains no stimulants at all and you can still add milk)

have heard dandelion coffee is a good decaf alternative but havent tried it myself.

Thank you all for your lovely messages - yes it was a huge shock (I think OH has only just come to terms with it lol), but we know we are tripley blessed!

norabatty - my family are mainly in London but I know will try and be around for the early days and OH family are mainly nearby, however my MIL is getting on a bit and i think she is a bit scared about helping to look after 3 - she has offered to take the dog off our hands for a bit, but i'd rather she helped with the bubbas, so i'm trying to convince her. Finding help in the early days is scaring me the most at the mo, i'm going to write to all the local colleges to see if they can find me any student nurse or student childminders who need some work experience over summer. Hopefully i'll be able to get a rota of volunteers!

emsbet - I prefer mint tea, so that might be worth a try and i also love redbush made in the same way as normal tea - it tastes very different but its not unpleasant

I tried all the de-caffs and just couldn't find one I could stomach - the fruit and ginger teas literally made me throw up straight away - maybe I'm just too fussy :p

Anyway, what I started doing instead was making more drink but with the same amount of tea - adding extra water doesn't increase the caffiene. So instead of one mug with one tea bag, I made enough for a large thermos flask with one tea bag and it'd last all day - actually tasted better than it sounds (and I usually like strong tea!). Really worked for me.

I'm now nearing the third trimester and finding I'm going off tea again, but have discovered hot blackcurrent juice instead. I use Sainsbury own brand and really recommend it if you fancy a change from the tea!

Hi emsbet. Hope ur feeling ok. I personally found typhoo te most similar to normal tea. My parents drink Yorkshire tea decaf and they like that too but I think typhoo decaf is defo nearest xx

Thanks for all the suggestions ladies, I guess I will have to experiment.

Natwesty I like the hot blackcurrant idea. I have some Ribena at the moment but I'm finding it too sweet but most of the supermarket own brands have sweeteners in and I'm trying to stay away from them also. May get some Vimto to try instead.

hi i'm new to this thread, i'm currently 14 weeks pregnant with my second child but having a few problems, at 5/6 weeks i had some pain and bleeding so had to go for an internal scan they could see baby's heart beat so everything was ok, then approx 11 weeks i started having severe stomach pain which was affecting the way i walked and alot of the time it was to painful to walk so i had to have another scan but this time they could see baby and all looked well and they couldnt explain the pain, but now 14 weeks and started experiencing severe pain again, its been on and off all week but this weekend it hasnt really stopped and again affecting the way i'm walking, i only spent an hour in work yesterday because i was so uncomfortable. i'm starting to get really worried because it's so uncomfortable. i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so what was wrong? hope i'm ok posting in here asking this. thanks :)
