  • Quiet day here again!! Spent most of it on settee catching up with programmes I've recorded eating crap!!:o Had a bit of a bounce too,but that's just hurt me back!!
Hugs to the ladies who've had their gtt results..like you say at least it can be managed now, and you're better off knowing (not that it makes it any easier :()
Mozzy you better make sure thats a nice spicy pizza you order!! :D
  • Question guys..

At my 20wks 2 weeks ago the scan showed that I have a low lying placenta and have to go back at 32 wks for another scan.MW didn't seem to worried and thought it would move.

My sister days she read in a magazine today - she thinks Now - that pregnant women with a low lying placenta should avoid sex.

Now I've not been exactly DTD all over the place much recently as Im so tired but given how great my DH has been I'd like to be able to offer him DTD when I can! :P

Have you guys heard of this before?? Avoiding sex if low placenta?

Enjoy your pizza mozzy. We've just ordered a curry but I don't really feel like it as I'm feeling sicky today. Oh well maybe I'll just eat most of the rice instead :)

I might be wrong, but I think that might be if it is very low/covering the cervix? Or if you get bleeding. I can't remember exactly what I read when I googled it, but I certainly didn't avoid it. Btw, mine moved well out of the way by the scan.

Snoopytweety - I am in same situation as you and we are EDD buddies- had my GTT test wednesday and results today -. Apparently my sugar level was 4.3 before test and 2.3 after (not that this means anything to me!!)

I have to go back to antenatal clinic next fri and will be taught how do finger !!!!! test, then I have to monitor my diet and blood levels for two weeks - scares the life out of me - hate needles!!

No one got round to telling me what happens after the two weeks of monitoring though!!

I am very concerned, cos I have a very sweet tooth and love my choccie treats in the evening - do hope I dont have to give them up!!!

Awww sorry you are going through it too - rubbish isn't it! Really knocked me for 6 to be fair, but just going to try and chill out now until Monday to see what exactly needs to be done, have read up a little bit now - and the thing that upsets me the most is the thought that I may be forced to have a c section which has been my worst nightmare all along!

One thing I did read was that I will have to have a scan every 4 weeks now, already got one at 36 weeks to check baby's size, but that should by rights mean should get one maybe Monday, then one at 32 weeks too!

Just really down about it x

Hugs for snoopy and amy here too :)

All this talk of food, I have an apple turnover for supper waiting in the fridge and DH has just popped out to buy some orange juice as I can't stop thinking about its thirst quenching goodness! I have only had cravings for OJ and milk, no foods, just drinks bizarrely, but then I never used to drink enough and got headaches so maybe that's why!

Pram delivery day tomorrow and John Lewis have been great in responding to my complaint now I managed to speak to a manager so here's hoping it does indeed arrive!
