Another here for the Oyster!! But our second chioce was the Sola, the only thing that swung it for us was that we got a good deal at a local independent shop, plus preferred the overall look of the Oyster over the Sola.

ETA: the oyster also can hold a maxicosi car seat as well if you buy the adaptors (our first choice being the pebble) - same as the sola

gutted, gutted, gutted. Midwife rang, looks like I have gestational diabetes!!!!

Got to go to Diabetes clinic Monday to have a few more tests, but liklihood is daily injections sob sob, sad face - could I feel more sorry for myself no - erm No!!! x

Oooh sorry to hear that one - I've been GTT tested once already and they haul me in again at the end of this month - the first test was just before Christmas and I would have been distinctly wrathful if they'd found I had it in time for the festive season!

  • sorry everyone - just feeling a bit miserable now, I know it will be ok and it is good that it is sorted, and been found, just is rubbish. 4 Years it took to get here and it would have been nice if the road had been a smooth one, with less pot holes!

I will get over it, and get my head round it, just troubled by the needles thing!!

Oh and we have gone with the Mothercare my3, love it and very pleased with it x x

MrsManda, how are you planning on using the pushchair? We looked at lots including some of the ones mentioned and found them a bit too flimsey for what we were looking for. We will be mostly using ours for off road walks. We plan to use a carrier when we go shopping as I dont like the idea of trying to push a pushchair in a crowded place, plus I just think something you can strap on is more convenient for us and baby would be closer and feel safer. Anyway, in the end we decided on the Maxi Cosi Mura and are very pleased with our choice. It is a little on the heavy side as the frame is metal and it does have big wheels (which are easily removed) but the sturdiness makes it perfect for how we intend to use it. It can also be used with a pram base and the cabriofix seat. Wouldn't recommend it if you will be using public transport.

We got the Mura too and i love it, keep pushing it around the dining room :) think the tyres are good and they do pop off really easily. We got a package with the pebble car seat, soft pram body and chair. I haven't quite worked out how to fold it down with the chair attached but wont need to know how to do that for a while yet :)

Have to say i've just seen the Cosatto Yo limited edition in blue/white stripe and think it's lovely. Hubby picked the Mura and i'm wondering if it would be terrible to have a 'spare' pushchair :) Some of our friends have about 6 so 2 doesn't seem so bad :)
  • Snoopytweety - I am in same situation as you and we are EDD buddies- had my GTT test wednesday and results today -. Apparently my sugar level was 4.3 before test and 2.3 after (not that this means anything to me!!)

I have to go back to antenatal clinic next fri and will be taught how do finger !!!!! test, then I have to monitor my diet and blood levels for two weeks - scares the life out of me - hate needles!!

No one got round to telling me what happens after the two weeks of monitoring though!!

I am very concerned, cos I have a very sweet tooth and love my choccie treats in the evening - do hope I dont have to give them up!!!

Sorry snoopy and Amy. At least thru found it and can monitor now.

I am back home, completely shattered. Still need to pack the suitcase with my stuff and all the gifts... When all I can think of is sleep. Bough the shaving cream as well, so would like to get into shower to sort myself out. Feeling a bit sickly, and knackered since about 2pm. Still had to stay in the meeting (which I enjoyed), and then two hours driving.

Anyway, a bit of rest and then ave to get up and sort the suitcase out. OH is cooking soup tonight, so I can rest more...
