Thanks hun, that sounds like it makes sense. The old blood has pretty much gone now and baby still as active as ever. Going to see the midwife on monday so will just ask her to have a look at my cervix so if I bleed again I don't need to panic (not that either of us will want to be doing that position again before baby comes!) Xx

Glad the bleeding has basically stopped now, hopefully your midwife will check your cervix for you on Monday. Xx

Snoopy - poor you!! If it's not emotional enough just being pregnant without having to go through what you have been through today!!

Just got out of the shower and felt sick, managed to make it back to the bathroom where I threw up all my stomach contents! :(
I feel really weak now so dp has gone to get me some chocolate!! :D
    Xx

Just got out of the bath. It was almost big enough (I like to be able to stretch out in one), but it ws cooling down so quickly!!! I was running hot water, but the bottom was feeling rather cool... Never mind, I enjoyed my few minutes of the water.

And why one evening, when can enjoy the luxury of watching TV in bed there is nothing I would actually like to watch???

Dizzi I had SPD last pregnancy (sure it's only a matter of time with this one too...) and I didn't get on with the support belt at all, I found it really uncomfortable. My MW gave me a massive tubi-grip which wasn't exactly glamourous but I found it did help some and those things will stretch to fit all sizes. Might be worth asking for one of those? I was also referred to the hospital, don't recall who I saw but was given some exercise sheets

At the MW on Wednesday - but it's definitely kicked up a notch in the pain stakes this evening - now it's at the point where I'm actually crying out with pain when I attempt to walk around the house by evening time... can't help but worry if this is what it's like in January - how the heck am I going to be functioning by the middle of May? Consultant very much had the "Ok so we've managed to find some misery caused by your weight to use as leverage to make you suffer" approach to it all really.

Hi Glimmer, was just thinking we hadn't heard much from you recently! Sleeping on your back is perfectly safe for your baby, the only reason its not recommended is that it can make you feel a bit dizzy when you stand up. if you don't get that then its fine.

    Hi Lisa
Still here, hope you are well; glad the scan went well.
I lurk but don't really comment much as on phone.

So, we are 28 weeks tomorrow...where has the time gone

Snoopy I had by GTT today aswell and don't think I have ever done 'nothing' for 2 hours. I got the all clear which was a relief as I currently have (TMI ALERT) thrush and a UTI and a face full of spots - think my body is screaming slow down take a break:)

Congrats to all the new mummys and good luck to the boldies

You poor thing, I remember it being really painful but I know that I didn't have it anywhere near as bad as some do. I'm overweight too but I know others who suffered who didn't have any weight issues at all. It's the easy / lazy response I guess but is hardly helpful. I hope that they try to help you some more xx
  • Wow you ladies were chatty today!!

Snoopy- your gtt sounds like mine...thankfully they didnt have to go for the back of the hands...but it took 3 people about 20 mins to find a vein!!

Mozzy - glad the midwife went well. Have tried all her ideas and nothings happening yet though :p

Well been for a wander round the shops and now am very sore at the base of my back (hope that means hes heading further in the right direction!!) Got some lucozade tablets for my labour bag and thats about it...boring day really and still not feeling right..not even copious amounts of chocolate have helped :(

Sitting - Hi. Boring day for me too. I'm finding less and less to do lately. DH is buying me a pineapple tomorrow haha. Going to eat as much as I can in one sitting! Been bouncing all day, but that starts to do my back in after a while. Hubby reckons it'll happen this weekend......we'll see.......

  • I wondered if you were about mozzy...insomnia must be standard at this point :D I have had a bit of pineapple (and bought some more today!!) But heard to have the desired effect you need to eat about 7 or 8 in one sitting!! Don't think I like it that much!!
Don't think I've done the required amount of nesting a pregnant woman should I just really can't be bothered :rotfl: So lots of days consisting of daytime tv and long soaks in the bath!! (Figure I might as well make the most of it!!) I hope we both get some sign of our bundles this weekend...but for me I highly doubt it...just not that lucky!!!

Haha, me neither. Luck usually doesn't follow me lol.
I've been the same really. I've lay in bed loads during my maternity leave. Not sleeping great, but I find its where I'm most comfortable. I've watched loads of location location and all those types if programs. I'm usually in bed by 2am, then up at 11am. So bad! But most of that time is spent lying awake thinking, not sleeping! haha
