As for where my cervix is - not sticking my fingers up there to find out - if I scratched it and made it bleed I'd totally freak out in terror!
No idea if this will help but google maternity support belt and plus size and I found
http://www.lafeenoire.com/hug-a-bump-maternity-support-band-for-spd--back-pain-1290-p.asp
so there might be some out there which would be suitable and worth a go....no idea as to how much those ones cost or if they are any good though.
edited to add - says they are £42 so they can hit you coming and going... :-(
Regarding the Fairy - they def had a big box in wilkos for a fiver but I don't know if it was non-bio or not.0 -

Hi Laura,
It probably mostly depends on how your pregnancy is going and how well you are feeling. I worked up to three weeks before my due date (I also have a 'desk job', in a finance role, so fairly similar) and apart from getting quite tired by the end of each week, I felt fine. I did have a blip a few weeks previously as my blood pressure went up a bit so I had to take a week off and probably would have had to start my mat leave early if it hadn't settled down but it did, so I went back to work and finished as originally planned. If you're feeling well and everything is going well then there's no reason why you couldn't work up to two weeks before, if that's what you want to do!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Really sorry to keep pestering you all but just got home and checked my notes for rhesus status and my blood results just say o positive, anti bodies: negative so does that mean I don't need to worry about anti d injections?0

I think the positive part means you are rhesus positive so don't need the injections.
How's the bleeding?

Oh dear. I think i just burst my post labour grapes (IYSWIM). Ow. Really really really cannot emphasise enough, buy your anusol HC before you go into hospital so you can use it straight away.
On the brightside, it has taken my mind off the pain of my stitches.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Like 4nna said, it will depend on how you feel. I was v lucky, and officially started my M/l 2 days before bean was due- as christmas was off work anyway, and my bosses said i could work at home for the last 4 weeks. In hindsight with the pelvic girdle pain, i would not have physically been able to get to the office had they not agreed due to the 2 hour drive each way, so i would have had to start m/l earlier, but i was physically able to do the work so working up to xmas eve (6 days before due) was fine.
I was in the office till 36 weeks, and had no real problem, other than it taking blooming forever to get anywhere in our huge building, and being desperate for a wee by the time i got to work/home after the 2 hr drive.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Dizzyblonde, since you are having pelvic pain, etc, ask your consultant or midwife for referral to physio. I got a 'tube' to wear to help with my pain, and wa told that once my bump gets bigger and if I feel i need a support belt to come and they will give me one, there was no talking about paying for it! I expect them to have different sizes as well. Also, I have been offered pilates class and gym ball class. I have been to each and now have the exercises to do at home to help with the hip pain. It is all about the strength of the core muscles and I think it might be helping a bit. It is also MSE if you get the support belt for free!
Now, on a related thing - does anyone know where I can get 55cm gym ball? I checked in Tesco yesterday, but they didn't have them. I think I looked online as well, but either no luck or too expensive.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
