    Morning all,

I've tried to read back but I'm tired and can remember very little.

I'm sure there were two ladies asking to join? Sorry I can't remember who it was now? :o Would you both like adding to the list?

Re: bath Rups, yes they are fine, just don't have them too hot and if your bathroom is one that gets really warm maybe just open the window. I never fill the bath above my bump as I like the water quite warm. You will find as you get further on baths are lovely (I want the all the time at the moment) but they do get increasingly difficult to get out of :p
Massages, I was told when I went to a spa when I was 5 weeks that they don't do any massages or anything that involves pressure points until 14 weeks, after that there isn't a problem, you just need to make sure they are aware you are pregnant as some essential oils shouldn't be used in pregnancy or can only be used after 36/37 weeks.

I'm in Shrewsbury and staying at PIL's house. When we got her Friday evening it was 16 degrees outside and they had the heating on  it's just so bloody hot in here that combined with the fact that we have to sleep in a queen sized bed means I haven't slept much this weekend and I have been on the sofa early both mornings.

Oh well enough moaning from me. Sorry I haven't been around much lately I will try to get on more this week.

    xx

I'm the same KatyLiz, constantly having bad nights sleep. People keep saying its just getting you used to the baby arriving. I have a had a baby before and slept fine that time. As much as i appreciate some comments, but some people trying to go on about how bad it will be this time with 2, really starting to annoy me now. All babies are different and just cause they have had issues with both of theres doesnt mean i will be the same (sorry for the rant)

I seem to have had a good night last night, went sleep about 10.30 and woke up about 7 cause DD put her telly on (least she didnt come and wake me up)

OH is on his brother stag do in newcastle all weekend so had the bed to myself its been amazing. I think i might tell him to sleep on the sofa so i can get my sleep:rotfl:

We are having a girlie weekend as such, we went out for a meal for my brother birthday yesterday with my mum and today we are off to Ikea to get her a new lamp (she loves Ikea) then monday i'm off work so we are going to the legoland place at the trafford centre and then for dinner and then to get some bathbombs (She loves Lush as well)

My belly button is still an inny, it was the same with DD it didnt pop out at all, and boobs are getting massive now as well.

Sorry i've had a bit of a waffle.

snowyz81 I've never slept badly in pregnancy before either, I think the experience is different each time. Re peoples comments, I just ignore everything I'm told, if people don't have something positive to say then I really wish they wouldn't bother!

I feel for you in that heat emsbet. I'm sweltering at the best of times, just the thought of having the heating on is making me feel hot!

    Morning ladies :)

My tummy/bump have been really sore for the last few days, feel like I've done too many sit ups or something :o I guess it's just everything stretching, but was thinking about one of those bump support bands - anyone tried one?

  • Hello

I've missed a couple of birthdays there (can't even remember who it was, baby brain ) but I hope you had a lovely time!

Re: benefits I know we've had a few responses already and someone kindly clarified that even child benefit is dependent on income. I can't remember who it was, but are you sure?? I'm in a similar position as moneypuddle and when I looked into entitlements, I was left under the impression that everyone got child benefit. I've just checked on direct.gov.uk and got this for entitlement to child benefit (there's nothing about how much you earn!).
    Who is eligible?

You may be able to get Child Benefit if your child is:
    • aged under 16
    • over 16 but under 20 - and is in education or training that counts for Child Benefit
    • under 18 and has recently left education or training - but they must have registered for work, education or training with a careers service, Connexions, Ministry of Defence or similar
(I haven't yet used the benefit calculater LadyMorticia gave us - thanks by the way!)

Moneypuddle - loving the bump, wardrobe and the scrapbook! Where do you find the time for the scrapbook?? I'm struggling to keep a diary!

Thanks for the link to the book MissMonkeyMoo, could you give us some feedback once you get it to let us know if it's really worth it? I know it's only £3 but I'm tight!

RebekahR - thanks for the info on the Jojo offer, no shops nearby :(

LittleMoog - it can be like that sometimes. I've not tried the bands myself but found that the stretching came in waves so I just put up with it as I knew it'd be gone in a few days. At 25+2 I still get these but not as often and not as bad.

AFM, I had my 25wk mw appointment on Thursday and had a bit of a scare. To cut a long story short, I've been getting it for at least a couple of weeks now and the mw sent me to hospital straight from appointment for testing as apparently we're not supposed to get as much so soon:eek: ended up that all is well and they'll contact me if anything shows up on exams.

On a different note, I know some of you mentioned that your DH/OHs are helping out with housework, etc but I'm finding that mine doesn't get the gist of the tiredness and still expects me to do everything I normally do (which is everything but dusting and hoovering). Is anyone else on this boat? I've tried to get him to understand that things have changed but he doesn't seem to understand. Any ideas of how to get him to understand??

    Sorry for long post:o
