Savage I've just put a changing mat on top of a chest of drawers, but to be honest we're going to probably do all the changing on the floor (on the mat) or on the cot (on the mat) instead as it will feel a bit safer somehow0

My belly button has got shallower and pops out when i laugh which is really odd. Not sure it will completely pop though it is incredibly deep to begin with- you could lose things in it

Well bubbas room is looking more finished. Can't put the curtains up yet as worried the curtain pole we bought isn't strong enough so going to change this tomorrow and put them up then. When its done i'll work out how to put a pic on here.
Funnily enough seen that some are talking about having professional photos taken. We are just about to book to have newborn pics done. I love the Ann Geddas type pics. Luckily the photographer's studio is very close to my house. We just need to pay for the session to confirm booking - so something to sort out this week.
Spent more cash today - this time at Amazon getting the last minute essentials!! Hubby a bit upset about it but tough! he made we wait to buy the bits so its a bit of payback!
Lastly this is the changing table we've just assembled. Its not too bad and looks great in the nursery room! http://www.booriurbane.co.uk/product/changer-ht/2025 financial goals & challenges!

Seriously?!As when I rang up to cancel the 1st appointment and rearrange I was told it was something I had to do. The childrens centre is not easy for me to get to where the appointment was and I rang to ask them to either do a home visit or I can meet them at the surgery. The appointment man said this was possible and when a woman rang me back to book it she said it wasn't on a first contact and I was to go there. I said I can't get there without hubby leaving work to take and she said that is all they do. Grrr ... Ah good job they are asking all. I had mentioned to my sister and she said they would have delved into my medical records at the surgery to get all the info. Ah well what's done is done now and I have enough paperwork and leaflets from them to last as bum wipes for a while ... :rotfl:
De-lurks again (maybe I should just join in being as I am 15 weeks now).
Seriously. You do not have to accept their OFFERS of services. Some like to have a health visitor, some don't. They cannot force you to accept, nor can they "report" you for not accepting.
I also have to say that I believe your sister is wrong about health visitors "delving into your medical records". They don't usually have access to them and very few are now based with GPs surgeries. Those that I have known who are based with GPs are not given access to your records, unlike the midwives.
Your midwife would have passed the information along to them, BUT your midwife should have at the very least told you that s/he was going to pass your details to the health visitor, and actually should have asked for your permission to give your information to the health visitor.
Health visitors can offer some useful services. In some areas they carry out the newborn hearing screening and will give info re baby clinics/childrens centres.
The reason I know about this is because I have friends at the end of their health visitor training and I ask lots of questions as I don't want anything to do with them.0 -
Can I ask a question? (okay, two questions including that one!).
When did your boobs start to get bigger?
At 18 weeks, I'm still a AA.
