Is anyone thinking of doing a pregnancy photoshoot? You know - you, OH and bump? I would love to do one, when I'm about 7 months (4 weeks away) - not very MSE I know, but nice to have nice memories

We have one booked on 8th August!! Will be 38 weeks exactly, so hoping bubs isn't too early. It seems luxurious but we have budgeted so much and this is costing £150 (in total we have spent £1000 and have nearly everything) and is a bump to baby package so you can get a collage of all the photos, you, OH and bump and then she comes again when baby is about 10 days old :D

this is the local lady we're using, I can't wait as the shots look stunning and thats what swung it for me http://www.sarahstonephotography.co.uk/index2.php?v=v1Thats the pregnancy gallery, then check the newborn one! hubby, for once, said what if something goes wrong? and i think even if it did, this is our first pregnancy and I'd like a record of it. The photographer was really cute as well, saying its good to get shots of you both as its the last time you'll be alone together - nearly bawled my eyes out :o

Oh and also, a little more MSE - I'm signed up as a dancer in a year long photography project - no pay but free shots and the first session is supposed to be 20th july when I am 35 weeks so that could work too - they want just leotards though, may have to take along my maternity swimming cossie :/

I know that Working Tax Credit goes on the previous years income to decide your benefit for the year you're applying but I'm not sure if Child Tax Credit is the same.

Yes it is- we used to get the min (£41 per 4 weeks) till they completely lowered the earning limits :(

Child benefit is still for everyone as far as I can tell (£81.20 per 4 weeks for one child). PDF form available online for this, but it won't let you print till you can enter the DOB, but can fill in what you can then save it for later.

Moneypuddle- not everyone gets child benefit. First you have to apply for it. You then get to keep it if your combined income is less than £50k. If your combined salary is over£60k it will all be taken back through tax. If you earn between the 2 amounts you loose 1% for each £100 you earn over £50k.

    Thanks kitten_pie

It was an old airing cupboard in our spare room, and we've replastered it where needed, put replacement shelves in, plus a rail, then painted it out white. Then had to seal it all to keep the spiders out!

We might have to do something similar - the room which will be baby's is next to ours and has a huuuuge built in cupboard but it seriously needs redecorating and new internal fittings!! I really like how yours looks so thanks for the inspiration :)

18 weeks and I still have the ms. :(
That sucks! Hope it goes away soon, I feel normal again now (except for struggling to put on my shoes.... and I'm pretty sure my bum's growing too!)

As for the belly button question, I'm thinking mine will pop out any day now, it's looking like it wants to!

I'm curious about changing tables. I honestly don't think I've ever changed a nappy in my life (!) but figure as I'll be doing it a lot soon I'd like a proper table for it. Are there any things to look out for? The ones that look like a set of shelves seem more practical to me than the chest of drawers with a thing on top style, as everything is more accessible... and am I right in thinking you want baby to lie bum-towards you rather than at 90degree angle so you'd want the thing to be deep rather than wide??
