Back from the tickle and polish. Cervix fully effaced apparently which is good news. She managed to give the sweep a go (with what felt like her entire fist) so here's hoping it will have an effect.

It wasn't too bad at all. I breathed through it (thanks for that tip, mishka) and it wasn't much worse than any internal really. When you've had the world and his wife up your mooer like I have (medically speaking!), you get a bit blase about internals.

Feeling rather achey and crampy now and crossing fingers, toes and eyes that things will kick off soon.

If you add Little Lamb on facebook they post all there offers up on there If I was you I'd buy a variety of different makes, if you can pre-loved/ebay etc, and see which suits. I wouldn't buy loads of one brand. Little Lamb are good for night time, but for day time they are really quite bulky,I probably wouldn't use them on my bubs during the day, I prefer the slim fitting nappies xx

Got my first daisy birthing class tonight. Looking forward to it apart from the fact that it says wear loose exercise clothing and I don't have any lol. So I'm going for maternity shorts and a giant rugby top lol. I don't even own a pair of trainers so I'm hoping it's bare foot lol.

okaaaaaayyy, I *may* have overstocked on cloth nappy bargains.

Don't blame me! They are sooo cute! One of the wraps has frogs on. Plus, I reckon I now have enough to do up until potty training and I can sell them on, so it's not bad is it?

Fingers crossed that it gets everything started for you fluffnutter and pleased to hear it wasn't too painful.

Just let MIL know about the pram arriving on Friday and she's said she'll definitely be in, so that's good news as I'm hoping I may get a call for work on Friday as we're getting close to the long unpaid summer holidays and I've still got quite a few baby bits to get still (must count the number of nappies we have as feeling quite worried I don't have many now). Had a long conversation with MIL, and she asked me if I'm going to breastfeed (I've still got a couple of months til I give birth yet)! I told her that I'm going to give it a go, but we'll see, and she told me not to give up too early! Oh dear, I hope she's not going to put too much pressure on me if I can't. The last thing I want is for her to be coming over and trying to give me tips on that!

Could you have the number for a local lactation consultant or breastfeeding cafe on hand, so if she does try to *help* you'd have someone professional to call?

I'm really keen on trying to breastfeed and found these couple of links really helpful and encouraging.

do your hospital not give them to you if u wnat them? i had one when i had a bad back and i honestly cant see how they are going tobe much use labouring lol
