ohhh..:( i wish i could go there, but that's far for me.
i suppose i can survive a tube ride to oxford circus (3 stops from me) and just go in there, have a look and back? this week is so busy that i wont be able to pop into Croydon at all. i hate shopping there anyway! hate the crowds. i am such an old woman!

Mishka hope you feel better soon hun.
MrsExcited tbh I love all music, love Metallica though. I have such a weird playlist on my iPhone it goes from Nellie the elephant through to avenged sevenfold through to a dub step song called ginger pubes lol.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Any idea's what you will be having done Twinklie? I really wanna dye my hair blue but a bit apprehensive about bleaching my hair whilst pregnant.
I have purple hair dye, it contains no chemicals but don't want to dye it at the moment so waiting until LO is here. (This may change) All the previous dye has washed out so my hair is almost normal. The bottom chunk is blonde though so the purple would take more.
I took the cut and colour from a comic bookMrsExcited wrote: »I'm planning to do something crazy with my hair whilst on mat leave after the baby is born. It's definitely not something I could do whilst working at this job.
When I was a teenager I had all different colours in my hair, blue, red, green...I loved it.
Now I'm a conformist on the outside but a wild child metaller on the inside:rotfl:
Ditto, Have to have normal hair for work but went mental again after we lost the boys, just needed a change and wanted to be the old me.i need to go to new look in town to have a look at their mat stuff but the tube ride is putting me off. The thing is it is big one and Croydon one is tiny.. oh no i lie, they have opened up a new one in the centre.. hmmmmm. i find it so hard nowadays in the tube. i feel faint and my heart beat speeds up! i wish there was another way for me to go to work. sadly not.
Rups if you aren't sure they sell maternity clothes, see if you can ring them first rather than making the uncomfortable trip. A lot of stores now only have maternity online and not in store.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

What kind of metal are you into? I am into old school type stuff like Metallica and Iron Maiden - plus I love anything a bit 80's and cheesy
We went to a 30th recently where the disco was all music from the 80's (when they were born grew up) It was all wedding music and me an OH sat there miserable thinking there is more to the 80s, Metallica were around in the 80's Rammstein were around, where is the good music.
They wouldn't play raining blood either and that is one of me and OH songsOverdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Hi Rups,
The New Look in the Whitgift Centre does have some maternity stuff, upstairs near the tills, but it's not a great selection. To be honest I think that the best selection is online - I've never been in a store which has it all.
If you wanted to go further afield, there's a direct train from East Croydon which runs straight through to Shepherd's Bush for Westfield - it's about half an hour but there's no changing or anything and it puts you right outside the shopping centre. Alternatively, there's late night opening tonight in Croydon and I think that the Purley Way shops are all open quite late, and there's a Mothercare & Next at Valley Park and Mamas and Papas on the Purley Way itself.
DH and I are a bit tattooed/pierced as well. We went and saw The Offspring a couple of weeks ago but he said we had to be seated - I was sort of bouncing up and down going 'but look! It looks so much fun down there!'. We missed NOFX recently because I was too tired (boo), and I really really wanted to go to the Vans Warped Tour but it's in mid-November, and I'm due on the 30th so I've been told that I'm not allowed. Psh.
I hadn't even thought of dying my hair on maternity leave, that sounds like a brilliant idea!0 -
Morning all!
Missmonkeymoo no I haven't got any PM from you, I just thought you didn't want the voucher or maybe you didn't want to give this crazy woman your address lol. If you click on my name at the side it should have to send a pm.
Mishka sorry to hear you're feeling carppy todayits very muggy here so sure that's not helping. Have you eaten and drinking enough? Sure you know what you're up to, try and take it easy if the boys let you, big hugs
Ikkle hope your necklace has cheered you up a little bit. I had a funny do with my amazon seller account not long ago. I can't remember why though, something to do with the card. It let me list things and sell them buti couldn't get the blooming address to post them! Really hope it's sorted soon, like you said its a lot of money, just added stresses you just need. Your friend sounds like a meaniehope our day gets better hun
Rups I don't know if flat tonic water would do the same job. It's the quinine in it that's good for cramps so I wold think it would work and not make you extra gassy. Bubba seems to have taken over my pudding stomach - not good! I just snack a lot, trying to eat fruits rather than sweets which isn't too hard in this weather. I don't want to alarm you at all! BUT I'm afraid my work hat has appeared on my head, I'm sure its just cramp btw. Just just watch your calf, it it gets swollen, red or very hot get it checked out. Pregnant women are at higher risk of DVT, more likely it's cramp though so please don't panicgood luck with new look, they do lovely stuff
Twinkliegood news about your heart, but like you said you almost want it to go a bit haywire for the test so they can get a good reading and find out the problem. Hope you've been feeling better. Don't worry about being off work though, for that last week do you have any annual leave you could take? I've been off since 19 weeks and will be until 36 weeks when I go onto maternity leave.
Mrs Excited what a bummer! Don't blame her though more money less work I'd go as well. Leaves you a bit in the lurch. Did you hire the cockney guy?
Tesco baby event got a letter in the post 4th to 22 July in store and online. Looks like deals on nappies, wipes, baby bath etc the normal stuff. Avent bottle are half price, as is pump and steriliser, baby foods and milks. Also got some vouchers from club card.
Well I'm 29 weeks today! :j 11 weeks really doesn't sound like long to go!
Well my funny dream of the night, woke at very agitated about five am. It was a quiz and they wanted to know how much a tin of value toms was, I was saying 31p and the other saying 35p and I was right and we lost and I was angry :rotfl: sad situation really. Then I realised I needed a wee, baby was very high up and had heartburn so was awake until around 7 when I dozed back off.
It's lovely and sunny here, might sit outside later. Still thinking what to do today really....have another cuppa me thinks
Hope everyone has a lovely day. Hugs to all that need them and labour vibes to those who need them xx:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

wow kittenpie, sexy colour. it looks really nice actually. iam so boring with my hair now. i used to bleach it or have red highlights and now i decided to just go back to black as all the hair treatments really made my hair look rough.
now its recovering and looks a bit shiny. might change my look at mat time too.
thanks sarara. i was just having a look online to see what every store has. i wish i could click and order but i need to try so once i try, i will be doing it online.thanks for that. i forgot mothercare and mammas and papas do clothing too. duh.

I had purple hair till recently but once my roots came through and the colour faded it wasn't the same so put a brown over it so can't redye it unless I bleach it again first. Only a couple of months to go till I can do it lol xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
