  • MrsExcited hope you find someone else to come in and take over really soon! I guess you can't blame the lady for taking a better paid job, but it really doesn't help you!

Savage I was just going to use the free Boots changing bag, but now I'm thinking backpack too! I'm rubbish with bags - never seem to find any that I like so I have had the same four handbags for about ten years now. Emsbet thanks for the links, will be checking those out in more detail later!

LMM did you ever get the PM that I sent you? Just wondering as I haven't PM'd anyone before so maybe I didn't do it right! Lol. Hope you are feeling better today as well, hugs to you!

Rups I was really gassy and bloated from about six weeks; can't remember when it eased off but it took a while :( I found tonic water was really good for helping with the yukky taste, but the downside is it will bloat you even more! New Look do some very good maternity clothes, so def worth trying. As for your argument with DH, I had the same issue with my OH only he wanted to know and I didn't! We couldn't agree for ages, but what we did say early on was that as we were both it in together the decisions we made had to be mutual. We talked things over and I explained my reasons for not wanting to find out - for me, I really wanted the surprise and I had read some info about the positive effect that not knowing has when you are in labour (gives you more incentive to push apparently!) I also talked to friends who had/hadn't found out and those that had said they wished that they had left it as a surprise. not trying to convince you - everyone is different and we all have our own reasons behind our decisions - but when I explained all of this to him (and some more besides!) he at least understood why I felt the way i did. In the end, we didn't find out and I think OH is quite excited by the fact that we didn't! Whatever decision you and DH come to, you need to be able to explain to each other why you feel the way you do and try to come to some sort of agreement.

Sorry, that was a lot longer than I intended it to be, lol! :)

    Morning all,how are you all?

hope everyone is ok today. sorry to hear that mrsexcited. that is so rude!

i ended up goingt o DHs gig last night. thankfully we werent there too long. I really strgulled with a gassy tummy the whole day and i was so restless at night. :( kept tossing and turning. PLus i had this bad calf pain in my leg all night too and its just about going now. is that common? Also have this weird butt cheek pain at times. i really cant eat big portions of meals like i used to as get full easily and very gassy. is anyone that gassy? at the scan they showed me areas of red which were gas and there it lots. :( meh

also last night on the way back, me and DH had an argument aboout the sex of the baby. wish we could agree on something. he says he respects my decision to find out the sex, yet he was trying his best to make me change my mind and keep it a surprise. i got so mad at him and then he got mad at me and said he was disappointed! talk about blackmail!!!:(

Rups, I was really gassy/bloated/belchy at first, which has mostly settled down. So relieved to have stopped burping so often, I really hated it, but I still can't eat the same sized portions I used to, I tend to leave about a third of my meal so have started dishing up smaller portions. I have more snacks than I used to, as get very hungry mid-morning and afternoon, so I think the calories balance out.

thanks missmonkeymoo. that did help. i know he is excited but i am so excited to know too. :) he tried so hard, and in the end we both got mad with each other. we always conflict in stuff and it is so irritating. i felt he was bullying me. i totally understand his view on the surprise as it will be a Christmad eve baby, and then i felt guilty and then got annoyed that i wont change my mind. we are both soooo stubborn.. grrr. i am confused now. lol

tonic water sounds good but yes all the sparkle will cause more gas. ;( ohhh.. i have just made a list of things as we have a Tescos near here. those who like strawberries can buy a punnet and get free cream with it. hehe

Could so easily scream right now it's untrue :(

Sold something on Amazon, it's been delivered went to request disbursement and it said my card on file was invalid. It's not, so I re-enter it, still says it, try 2 diff cards same problem. Ring them up and they say that it's because the card isn't in my name at my address so I tell them it is, then they tell me it's because I need to have over £30 in credit on my account the card is linked to, which I have as I've got internet banking and can see the bloody balance, so she says oh I don't know then, takes the money from my available section on the Amazon sellers site and puts a hold on it and opens a case for me because there must be some 'error' so now I can't do frig all till they pull their finger out and fix it. It's not like it's a small amount either we are talking a couple of hundreds of pounds that I am waiting to withdraw :( The stress of it has had me in tears, cos I'm fretting now I'm going to lose the money :(

My poorly belly has now been replaced by constipation and more belly ache - there's no happy medium is there lol.

And the friend who cancelled on me the other week to go out with our other friends instead has just cancelled on me again because she has a stye on her eye! Even work cancelled on me!

Yay! You're right!!! Woo hoo!!! 2 weeks and I'll be putting my feet up.

I just met with another agent from a different recruitment agency. He was just like a candidate from the apprentice. A real wide boy. It was hilarious! He stank of aftershave, had seriously over gelled hair and the funniest cockney accent!

I have a cockney/London accent but it is nothing like that guy's is :rotfl::rotfl:People do make fun of my accent but his was off the scale! LOL

I haven't had a palpitaiton for over 24 hours!!!!! This is big news - although may make me look like a fraud if it doesn't start again in time for the hospital tests on the 6th...I'm sure it will.

I've decided to cheer myself up with a new hairstyle - have the hairdressers booked at 11.45. I'm very excited. :)
