Re - people commenting on what you eat. I can't believe how rude some people are. It's nobody else's business what you eat, or how long it takes you to lose the baby weight either. I'm happily scoffing a lot more than I normally would, but I'm a lot hungrier than normal, and see no point in denying myself.
I've said I'm definitely not buying anything whatsoever until my next scan (15 days until mine), just in case they change their mind about gender. We can't buy the cot and pushchair until DH's student loan comes in on the 1st October, but even if baby was a bit early we could manage with a sling and moses basket for a while.
oh, and emsbet if you can change it I've realised I'm listed as the 6th October on the big list, it should be the 5th. Thanks.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
Mine is this one but in a different colour

Will add that I bough mine second hand from ebay so nowhere near this price.
It was one that was recommended for twins so has lots of storage.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Since changing to cloth I'm looking for a bigger bag, how big is this? If you are using cloth how many nappies do you think you'd fit in?
I'm not sure how clear this will be but I've just unzipped it and taken this picture so you can have a look sizewise.
That's currently got in a 27 pk of Pampers new baby size 1 nappies, a pack of wipes, 2 packs of 10 maternity pads, a box of breast pads and the Avent mums essentials toiletry set from Boots. (I'm in the middle of using it to work out what I want to take as my hospital bag) Theres still plenty of room in there though as you can see. It's got 2 shorter handles or a longer over the shoulder strap, plenty of pockets etc. Like Nutella said the bottle bag part only holds long skinny bottles but this might not be a problem for you? And the travel changing mat which comes with it actually slots in the external side pocket without looking out of place xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Ahh well I was gonna get up and then read what had been written in the time it took me to post
,
Ikkle I love that bag, and not too expensive either. Did you say it had along strap too? My pram is beige colour so I'm worried it might clash I dunno. It's probably the item I'm doing the most debating on
Kitten thank you for those stats. Maybe I am morbid, but I have been thinking if something was to happen now (God forbid) what are bubba's chances of being ok. Bit scared to google, so thank you. Did I read you had that changing bag in blue? I do like that one, and I like filling bags full of useful 'just incase items'
Rups we started collecting things after our 12 week scan. As we knew we were on a budget and looking for things second hand it was a case of buying when we saw something we liked. We got our pram I think at maybe 13-14 weeks as we saw the one I loved being sold locally for £100 has the car seat, carry cot thing and was immaculate still have it in babies r us for £300. Also starting stockpiling nappies/baby wipes etc. even if it was just buying a pack when doing the monthly shop. Everyone is different I guess. I just didn't want to be sat here now (29 weeks tomorrow) and thinking argh we've nothing and not saved enough or finding nice stuff at good prices.
I think Mothercare do a thing where you can pay monthly and get the stuff at the end? I don't know much about it and obv not so cheap.
I need to ask a quick question. I'm really itchy around my wrists and knees/legs. I don't know if it's a symptom of anything ghastly of just me being mad! I get itchy when I'm stressed, although not feeling stressed at all.
I must go to the kitchen now! Laters peeps xx:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Thanks, I bet they don't have it in store? I suppose I could order it in, and if it's not suitable just get a refund. I use MAM bottles, but normally put them in an insulated bag anyway so wouldn't matter so much if it didn't fit in the slot. I want a pink lining bag, but I can't justify it at the momentThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
LMM, I know itchy extremities can be a sign of pre-eclamsia however if can also be heat and hundreds of other reasons. Keep an eye on any swelling and if you are worried. "call the midwife!Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

I'm not sure about instore hun, I've only ever been to a diddy Next which had bog all in lol. My OH ordered mine for mePink lining bags are lovely but so expensive. That's one of the other reasons I liked the one from Next as when bubs is older it can be used as a hold all/weekend bag style thing.

I'm not a handbag person at all and a rucksack-type bag seems more practical to me. Any ideas?0

LMM I've had itchy skin a lot during this pregnnacy, it seemed to have died down but every so oftern it comes back. I had an incredibley itchy ankle last night bu I've had it all over. Skin does tend to get quiet dry in pregnancy so I've been using Oilatum bath lotion and some aqueous cream afterwards which seems to help. Also keeping your fluid intake up should help. I did have a rash at about 18 weeks which the doctor said was dermatitis. I think it was because I changed my fabric softner so I bought some fairy sensitive and it went away.
I don't mind being followed round the internet, it's nice to have someone to talk to when you're on your own all day
