You really need to enter loads to win stuff. I think a lot of people think they can enter a few and win quickly but that's not really the case! I prob spend a good couple of hours a day comping and this month I have had 13 prizes. But that's a good month, 7 of those were beauty items from the Glamour Giveaway. Normally I get between 5-10 prizes a month. Mostly low value but you get the odd good one thrown in. This month I have had beauty items, £50 cheque, a £70 pearl necklace and £20 earrings.

It's something that you need to keep at and not expect a quick return, but it's great every time a parcel arrives!

Ugh I'm knackered. Food shop has just come and hubby arrived home from footy just after. Typical!

It is really a do it if you have the time and if you win something it is a bonus. I can enter 1000+ a week and win 4-10 a month.
    Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500
    Competition wins 2015 = £1400

    What they both said. :D

You do need to enter alot of competitions to win things but the wins are nice (although, if you expect to win things, then you might get bored quickly).

It's a nice thing to do if you have the time. Being so ill and being stuck indoors alot, it passes the time and when I win something, no matter how small, it really cheers me up.

So far this month, all I have won have been food items. Do you think the comping fairy is telling me I need to fatten up?! How rude! :rotfl:

are there any throat sweets etc that anyone knows of that are safe in pregnancy as using my voice all the time, I could do with lubricating my throat?

I'm afraid to say that caught my eye and I was not thinking throat sweets ;) :rotfl:
Hope you feel better soon, hugs

Ikkle where did you win that Noah's Ark, I want one!

My mum enters quite a lot of comp, often gets things through the post. Sometimes with no letter so has no idea where they're from. If it's something she won't use she just ebays it. My favourite one was when she won a years supply of kit kats. Yep 365 four fingered kit kats in a big box.

The sticky toffee pudding didn't come out too bad, OH seemed pleased enough. Trying to save some for tomorrow but I think OH would like to eat it all! Bubba seemed to enjoy it too:) he's very excited in there.

Think I'll head off To bed soon. Very achy, done all the prep for tomorrows tea today too as have an afternoon of appointments. Almost feel like a domestic godness....ok not quite.

Night everyone, hope you all get some sleep xxx

hiya.. thanks so much for the well done messages. well done RJH and Ikkle for winning. nice necklace. was going to ask too here you all enter but found my answer reading through.

i do hope that i find this energy back to clean and cook the way i used to as right now i am so not with it. i went to the temple earlier and then walked back (half an hour and that was enough to get me exhausted). i used todo all these spinning classes and kung fu and look at me now. so deflated. also get these headaches. pretty much have one everyday. :(been sooo bloaty and gassy today hehe

read the bit about the soothers and that made me remember the ad. it was lovely esp the dude. :)

i kind of feel bad now as DH was away at kung fu and when he got back, i was being silly and insecure about these female friends he meets up for lunch at work. meh.. being silly...his mum sent me such a lovely pregnancy card today.

i must look at those competitions tomorrow. :rotfl: i never win.. lol

That's the NCT for you. If you just go to the NHS ones, you end up sharing a fag afterwards or, if you've not spanked all your giro, going for a burger in McDonalds :D

You say that but 2 of us produced vouchers so we got 2 mains for £12.95 and we all had tap water!

I am feeling really stressed and upset right now over another thread on here. I really wish everyone on this board was as nice as you guys. Its not good for me or worth it getting so stressed over a bunch of strangers on the net.
