My bedroom window is open a crack during the day and "properly" open during the night, even in the winter. I bought a few sleeveless tops from New Look to use with leggings in hospital instead of pyjamas. The tops are very stretchy so I'll be able to breastfeed without taking them off and so thin that they shouldn't make me too hot. Worried about managing labour in hot conditions though - I would really hate to end up totally naked!

Yeah I'm taking a little fan with us and a water spritz and will be asking for windows open if possible. We have windows open all the time at home and I always have less layers on than OH which is why I want a room thermometer for our room for where the baby will be sleeping as don't want him too cold just because of me :( x

    Loving the changing bags!
We put the car seat in the car earlier as OH is getting paranoid that we'll forget it when the time comes. I keep telling him not to worry as we live 7 minutes from the hospital (had trial runs haha) and anything can be picked up if we for get it! He's cute though :)

Got consultant app in the morning, such a bloody waste of time wish I didn't have to go. Apps at 9am but have to leave at 8.15am, because of all the staff starting at the same time, car park is a nightmare, always have to park miles away. Then when I get there, he's never on time, end up waiting for an hour or more, just to have blood pressure and urine checked and be told everythings ok! Grrrrr. Then the £3 parking charge tops it off. All because my BMI was 31 not 30 when I had booking app all those weeks ago! Rant over, sorry but it does my head in!
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference :)

This is my changing bag http://www.next.co.uk/g703142s3#134859g70 although I've already used it when I got admitted to hospital as it was a good size for my clothes lol x

Ikkle, I love love love that bag! I don't actually have a changing bag yet as I couldn't find one I liked, but this one's great. Are the handles long enough for you to easily throw it over your shoulder? I sometimes carry my LO in a sling, and the bag I've been using has annoyingly short handles... If yes, I'm getting the credit card out :D

Yeah Hun you can carry it with the long strap or the shorter ones. I really love it and it's not like it can only be used as a changing bag, when the baby is older you could use it yourself as a weekend bag or something. It's quite spacious inside too. Mine currently has a pack of nappies, a pack of wipes, 2 packs of maternity pads, a box of breast pads and some travel toiletries lol. X

Re. hospitals being hot - quick word of warning to anyone who's bought one of those little travel fans from Boots: bring a spare battery, or better still, put a new one in before you put the fan in your hospital bag. Mine lasted all of one minute.... :(

Ikkle - what fan is it that you're taking? I never thought of that but may have a look now.

MrsBryan - my BMI was 32 but I'm not getting any extra appointments. Weird.

I'm only getting extra appointments because I already have health problems.

I have my first consultant appointment on 12th July. Not sure what to expect!

It's just a cheap one I got in the sales Hun. You can get handheld ones but they eat batteries.

I think they make the rules up for consultants as they go along. I'm not seeing mine tomorrow just having bloods done.

    Not a lot lol x

It varies a lot I think from hospital to hospital. At my appointments I have my bp and temp taken they take my urine sample then doc reads notes and comes to talk to me about what has happened since my last appointment, what they want to do before my next appointment like tests and scans etc, they listen to bubs and I get to go lol.
