I was planning on waiting a while before putting baby in reusables if we decide to use them so that we can focus on getting to know him and getting settled in a routine. I think that you're idea of waiting until little man is here and trying out which work best for him before committing to buying a whole set is a good one.

I agree about using disposables for the first few weeks, you wont know your !!!! from your elbow (or theirs for that matter ) which is why im collecting the free/cheap huggies etc as the last thing I will want to be doing is remembering which way to fold them !

I only got the washables as the listing on eBay was so bad I knew they would be cheap it didnt even say what size they were so I figured if they were from birth (which most were) I would use them almost straight away, if they were bigger I would wait a bit,

It was a total gamble but thankfully this one paid off

Dreamt last night that I fell asleep on the toilet and when I woke up there was blood in the water so I got up in a panic and my baby was there under the rim. I picked it up and was relieved it was still warm and I rubbed her (it was a girl) and she came round fine. I was shouting on DH saying "the babys here, the babys here" and I could'nt believe how wasy it had been that it had come out and I hadnt even realised LOL!

Had it not been for tesco selling totsbots easyfits for 3.75 each a while ago, I probably wouldn't have purchased 8 washable nappies so early. But at that price, together with money off vouchers so they were even less, I didn't hesitate. 20 quid is a gamble worth trying, even if we don't use them 100% of the time. We do have disposables for first few weeks too, won't cope with washing that fast...

I went to a mothercare which was closing down and bought their washables. Think I got 3 starter packs for £5 which was a huge bargain. Don't know if I will use those ones but at that price I had to chance it.

Hello everyone!
I'm wide awake so thought I'd come and have a nosey.
Miss money I got the chair from the red cross. Very nice there, also runs on donations.
Turtlemoose glad your appt went well and midwife gave you a good look over.
Bellola I've also got a £10&£5 evoucher for M&P in the lAst couple of days. So would cover postage and a tenner off the sheep. Will look more when I'm home. And invest in many batteries lol.

Sorry can't remember much else. Bubba is kicking away. All of a sudden he's become really strong. OH can feel him loads too. Last night he got kicked pretty hard in the jaw :rotfl: saying that bubba will prob be kicking even harder before long!
