That's just awful! I can't believe the midwife would say that, especially to someone going through what you did.

    Agreed. It's appalling.

Hey, just wanted to say thanks so much for all the lovely responses to my somewhat fraught post this morning! You are all brilliant :)
(even if you did make me blub even more!)

Whilst I don't want other people to feel like I do, it's reassuring to know that I'm not a complete freak...not in that respect anyway!

On a different topic - it's blimmin' lovely weather today, and is looking good for the rest of the week, too! Woop woop :D Might have to wash and dry some dinky little baby-grows etc...

Saw these on ebay this morning and ordered one to see what they're like:

Don't suppose anyone has had any experience with these? I don't really need any more nappies, as have a load of Motherease one-size, but I do need a couple of small and medium sized wraps - expensive though!

The one I got from ebay was a babyland brand from china and after buying I read the reviews which aren't great so won't be purchasing more but they look great. (see stitch a few pages back)

I'd call the police or thump heavily on wall see if they got the hint. I had to go down to mine once and they started again Saturday I just jumped my heavily pregnant self up and down on floor a few times (they downstairs flat) and they turned it down immediately. Beware the pregnant one lol
love you lots like jelly tots :o

My midwife in Ripon told my OH I could literally get away with murder while pregnant as hormones can be used as extenuating circumstances. Not sure if it's really true or if she could sense he was buggin me lol x

Erm, are you in Australia or something BB? :D You can't possibly be anywhere in the UK - and if you are, that loft conversation better be finished so I can move in! I miss the sunshine so very much :(

I thought I'd got away with not having back ache, but no. This child's either doubled in size or shifted position and has spent the past 24 hours with some part of its body wedged in my rectum. I can't poo, I can't guff, my back's agony. :(

  • In NW London, glorious weather today. Our new bath's been delivered, I've had great fun working in the conservatory (35C), and about to rescue DW from the underground. Pregnant females + underground + rush hour + warm weather = better go armed with a bottle of water for her...

Oh, and if the weather stays like this for the rest of the week, my in-laws will make great use of the conservatory, while we're both working and they're destroying our bathroom! :)
Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...

Rebekah - my !!!! bled when i was pregnant aswell and I had no evidence of any piles. I saw the doc and she just said it was a tear actually inside my bum hole and that as long as it was fresh blood and stopped after a few wipes it was fine. It can happen next time you go aswell if it hasn't had time to heal so don't worry if you see it again.

Regarding the woolly mammoth that is the sheep it is a good idea to use it from birth as they get used to it very quick and it provides comfort for them. Some people who use them after a few weeks don't get as good use out of them cos their babies already have learned behaviour if that makes sense. They are ace and my little Tricky loves his.

Hope you are all well and i still miss the daily gossip.
