Student. Tesco western avenue had like bumpers and quilts and stuff reduced in the baby clearance aisle yesterday. Otherwise I definitely love matalan. The sheets wear really well. :)

Happy - should I stock up on loads of batteries for the dream sheep then? Hope your well :)

Seems like I'm the only one looking at grey skies and feeling chilly - so unfair!

Thanks for the welcome, folks, and thanks emsbet for adding me to the list. Looks closer to the top than I'd like though!

BB I think it was asking how fast was fast for my labour, well, I started with a couple of niggles in the morning, then at about noon I was contracting about 3x an hour, but 1.30 I was having 1 min contractions every five minutes and by the time I got to the hospital (3pm) I was virtually constantly contracting and was 8cm dilated. Daughter was born by 6pm, although I had not been pushing until the end as they had asked me to just let the contractions do it as I'd had high bp. Was fairly straightforward though, thankfully.

I read all the other posts too, but my brain no longer allows much to be retained so have forgotten it all, sorry folks!

Good luck to those waiting on the stork delivery.

    xx

Yes Triangle. If I were you I'd buy shares in Duracell. Tbh, the best thing would be to buy reusables cos the cheap ones won't work for very long and the expensive ones will mean you will need to take out a loan. They are good though. Just when mine runs out of batteries it invariably gets slatted at the wall so you need to avoid doing that.

Hey ladies hope everyone is good. Enjoy antenatal Rebekah, I haven't ever gone, hoping MW will mention on Thursday about them, although perhaps not as this is 2nd bubba.

For our moses basket last time I just used a pillow case for a sheet as I already had plenty and they fitted quite well and were easy to tuck tightly. Not sure if that would help anyone or not.

Now off to continue packing hospital bag, I keep panicking that I will end up in hospital soon, haven't even got any furniture for the baby yet, but have been washing vests and sleepsuits so that they are at least ready.

Enjoy your get together tomorrow ladies, and hugs/labour vibes/ chocolate to anyone who needs it.

 its quiet in here tonight, wheres everyone gone ??

Today has been the day of the nappy for me, managed to use my huggies newborn vouchers and got 2 of the starter packs with nappies+wipes+top and tail cloths. Then used a voucher to get some free wipes (i hate them but they were free :money:) and another to get some pampers which meant 3 packs of nappies + 3 packs of wipes for the difference of the pampers cost which was £1 :j:j

Then got a delivery and lovely postie brought me my washable bundle which had way more in it than was pictured :T So I've got 21 nappies, 10 wraps and 16 washable liners from Bambino Mio which cost just over £20 including postage :j all were used but in great condition, showed hubby tonight who didnt seem as bothered by them as I worried he might be.

The only downside to my day is my SPD which is hell after forcing my dodgy trolley round the aisles,

    Hope everyone good :)

 Mishka, I'm here, just been making tea as DH was at football until 8. Managed to save some room for chocolate fudge cake and ice cream :D

Sounds like you got a bargain with the nappies :) I'm still undecided what to do about nappies.

That is a wonderful bargain Mishka

Emsbet Although we know what nappies we are getting, unless they go on offer again we will get a box of nappies from kiddicare to keep us going for the first few weeks (if you have a small baby the re-usables don't always fit, think the smallest fits 6-7lb)

The nappy lady we saw suggested not using them to begin with so that a routine is set up, if you add it into the mix straight away then you are more likely to stop using them and use disposables for ease.

Then when baby is here we will check that she gets on with the reusable before buying them (of course if a wonderful offer comes on again we will just buy)
