Stop having babies!!!!!! I'm half way up the list *Petrified*

Got 1st antenatal class on Monday night. Any tips/owt I need to take/do/prepare?

Bugaboo Donkey? Mountain Buggy Duo? Baby Jogger City Double, Icandy Peach. They're all double travel systems that you can have travel cot/carry cot, pushchair seat or car seat attached, with the exception of the mountain buggy I think.

You could also look into Phil & Teds, which is a tandem, sort of.

I can't recommend the Babycare Bible highly enough: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1904760511/ref=asc_df_19047605117939841?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&!!!!!hydra0b-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=1904760511&hvpos=1o1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4454100521831399329&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt= It's not the cheapest option, but it's worth every penny - it has lots of photos of practical hands-on stuff like 'how to' baby basics like bathing, swaddling, holding and handling etc. There's stuff on first aid and chapters on feeding, sleeping, crying and responding, baby month by month, caring for and interacting with older babies, keeping baby healthy etc. So it would also be useful when baby is a bit older - there are receipes and ideas for weaning, toodler-proofing your house etc. Although I agree that 'Your baby week by week' is useful, I find it harder to dip in and out of.

Our little girl was one week old yesterday, so we marked the occasion at 7.47pm (the time when she was born) with milk for her, beer for the OH and water for me :beer: (hmmm.... am thinking I got a raw deal there...) We're really enjoying getting to know her and all her little facial expressions, and although I'm veeeery tired I wouldn't change a thing I'll be moving over to the newborn thread, but will no doubt lurk and sometimes post here too - I'll want to know how everyone's getting on!

PS: Forgot to mention that my overexcited friend, who I told you about a couple of weeks ago, texted me the morning after my c-section asking if I was home yet and when she could come and visit! Ahem, still unable to get out of bed, still attached to a catheter... not quite ready for visitors yet...

The newborn thread tends to be very quiet as most us us are on the face book group.
It is a closed group so alonly members can see (not your outside friends) and is both informative and a times crazy popular subjects chocolate,cake doing in OHs and erm cake. If you pm gillyx with your real name she will send you the link. :-) Some non Facebook users set up Facebook aliases so they could join us.

Theres a difference between a closed group and a secret group. A closed group is still searchable and I believe people can see that are not members can see th member list but you have to be a member to post yourself and an admin has to accept you to be a member. A secret group is non-searchable and so you have to be invited to the group ? I would think the baby group is secret.

Oh god I'm 18th on the list!

Been awol for a few days as so manic. Finished work on thurs, woo hoo!
Then had my friends wedding on fri, which was lovely. Although answered the question "when's the baby due?" about a thousand times!
Yesterday we drove back from the wedding then painted all afternoon. And went to a friend's in the evening and had baby cuddles
Today is more painting... Trying not to do too much but there's so much to be done! On that note, should prob get up and get on with it...! I'll try and log on this eve on the pc so I can type more quickly

Anybody that lives near farnworth bolton should check out the banardos baby charity shop,it had the most beautiful crib yesterday absolutley gorgeous if you don't mind 2nd hand
