Hello all
We went out last night and didn't leave the heating on and the house was freezing when we got back. It's so cold again today that the heating will be left on while we go out this evening. I've got washing to dry as well so the extra heat will help with that.
I've been given a different area for lunchtime duty - the year 8 area. They're lovely children, but so loud! And very funny as well.
DD has her club tonight and I'm off to the gym.
Hope everyone has a good evening

My daughter started suffering from migraine about 5 years ago and DS complained about few headaches too, took her to Dr and Optician to rule out anything nasty, all OK, then purely by chance read an article about the artificial sweetener aspartame and its effects. Stopped buying light yogurts and no added sugar squash and they have rarely complained of headache ever since. Might be worth a try.
Off to cook stir fry for tea.

Hi everyone
Been MIA the last week but no real reason, just been working long hours and been very very tired, congrats to JG on the birth of her daughter :jand I will have to have a quick read to catch up a bit. Not much else has been happening but actually got to the shops today and treated myself to a hat and new gloves ready for my jaunt up to Scotland in April (me thinks it will be cold) and some material to have a go at making a top, supposed to be doing that in my spare time, when I find some:)
Anyway thats about it, not very interesting at all:(

Evening all
Freezing cold here today!
This morning I took my work kids out to view a few possible community projects. We will be working with the local railway society, and the chairman took us out. Bless him, he could talk! :rotfl: But we have 2 great projects lined up. Then I took them to McD's this afternoon as a treat.
I'm still feeling a bit under the weatherwill just cwtch in on sofa for the evening and feel sorry for myself.
Flatmate just popped in to see my new house and drop off her keys for flat. She has been to flat to clean, just hope she has done a good job! I am meeting LL to hand back keys on Weds night.
OS wise - not much, I'm going to make a quick pasta meal for tea and take LO's for work tomorrow.
Have a good evening all

Evening everyone
I havnt managed to post the last few days having a bit of a nightmare healthwise so not managed to get up to much.
OH took little AJ for his last injections today doesnt need anymore now until he is 12 months. He has been a very brave boy and we are so proud of him. He is takin 10oz every feed now and seems to intercat with the Disney Channel - he loves Mickey Mouse ... sorry im such a proud mummy of my little one. Cant beleive he is only 4 months.
Not much cleaning needed as we all keep ourselves pretty tidy. Just the general washing up after dinner.
We have been working through the last of our branded cleaning products with not much left so as soon as they are used up its on to stardrops for us.
Very very cold here at the moment and have had to have heating on for little one plus i must say the joints dont do too well when its very cold.
Just sorting out shopping lists for the end of the week for OH to get. We have agreed its time to stock up on a few things whilst they are on offer plus im preparing the cupboards etc for ver bad weather
Take care everyone xxx0 -
seems like a busy day for me today. had a cup of tea this morning at 7.30 am and didnt have. my next one until 5 pm tonight. dont worry have been drinking water all day but its the tea that makes you feel better isnt it. been to work and then onto a course so didnt get home til late. luckily im not working tonight so am now snuggled on the sofa in my pjs and three pairs of socks. i havent been warm all day. i am now. now feel tired so it could be holby city and then bed.
had a beautiful lamb hotpot for tea tonight and the kids had a cheesy pasta and bread. then hot cross buns for desert.
went shopping again this morning must stop popping in spending bits here and then. nice to have fresh bread tho. should bake it myself in the breadmaker and this may stop me shopping!
have a nice evening.:)0 -
Has she worked out any pattern? I used to get one about 36 hours before Auntie Flo arrived....not had any cycle-related ones >>
Not as daft as it sounds as I suffered dreadfully with migraines almost monthly, the full blown 'hide in a darkened room type with flashing lights before my eyes' and was on extremely strong pain killers that were almost horse pills until I had my children, and since my last DD was born 42 years ago I doubt if I have had half a dozen .Bit of a drastic remedy for bad migraines but it worked for me
Saw DGS Ben and he said he was pleased at how his exam went and wrote seven pages about WW1 poets,so hopefully it will boost his marks even more .He has been offered a sixth form place at his Grammar school to start this September which I am pleased with as his school is a bit sniffy about their level of marks that they give places too.He seems to be doing well and hopes to take Chemisty,Physics and Biology at 'A' level plus if he can English as well.He wants to join the Royal Engineers when he is 18 and is doing as much work as he can to up his CV.He is a very focussed young chap for 16 and I think will do well.Just off to have a read of my library book,no school run tomorrow DD has the day off and I will be taking her to the dentists at noon so she is doing the school run in the morning
Good Night God Bless all here

Forgive me Martin for I have sinned......
I,ve bought a new shiney car - well being a bit OS I bought a pre-registered one at a very nice discount.......
I have felt quite guilty lately as so many people have been having a bad time for one reason or another, and I ( and my beloved) have had a touch of fortune, we have had enough money to clear most of our debts, and a wadge off the mortgage, with enough left over for a special treat (hence the car). We are by no means well off now, but, WOW has it helped, we have lost that OMG how are we going to cope this month feeling.
I have avoided saying anything before, for fear of being seen as gloating, I can assure you all that it has meant that we are even more determined to be OS and never accrue the level of debt we had, we will never have this chance again.
I hope your all well, havn,t had a chance to read through as kids have been like mini hurricanes this evening
Have a fab rest of the evening xxNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Morning all,
Cold and frosty here too, dont have to go out till later on though, so things should have defrosted by then.
DG my sister is in Spain atm they arrives yesterday, she said it was pouring with rain and cold when they arrived, so hope today is better for them.
Gintot, so sorry to hear the news, its a big shock issn't it, you will get through it though, xxx
Miffy hugs to you xx
DW + WM are on, will hang the washing out as its a nice blowy day again, got loads dry yesterday.
Need to hoover my car out today if I get time, it desperatly needs it, also walk the dogs ( I have sisters dog for the week), and have a tidy / clean through.
Dinner tonight is pie made with some left over shepherds pie, so really a meat and potato pie, will do a quorn mince one for dd. I got some ready made pastry for 10p a block a while ago, so just need to assemble it, will do jam tarts with the left overs.
I have been really trying on my diet this last week, watching everything I eat, and only lost 1lb, not really happy with that, will have to cut down even more.
Went to Dr with dd yesterday as she keeps getting migraine, she has already cut out caffine and chocolate :eek:now he wants her to cut out cheese, which for a veggie is even harder, he has also prescribed beta blockers, which worried me a bit, but he assures me they will be fine.
OK better get on, have good days all xx
Just delurking to say that my daughter has been on beta blockers for migraine since the age of eleven and they have really helped her and vastly reduced the amount and severity of the attacks.
I too was worried but it really has been the best thing for her.
All the best X0
