Hope your DD has a great day too, Gintot!Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0 -
Happy Birthday beemuzed.
Freezing here this morning. Am still sternly resisting the temptation to put the heating up. We keep it on 10C to keep things ticking over, but my fingers are frozen while typing. The Rev was quite put out when she suggested some warmth and I told her to put another jumper on. She will be going out shortly so I think I will spend the time in the kitchen and do a bit of baking. It will be warmer with the oven on!:D
I've still some veg left over so will make some more soup for lunch. Tonight we will have HM fishcakes from the freezer with peas and carrots and I think a syrup sponge cooked in the microwave for pud. Doesn't fit the diet but certainly fits the weather!
My second scarf nearly finished last night.
A tip for anyone contemplating making one of those frilly scarves. Don't drop any stitches, you'll never find them again. I accidently pulled out the wrong needle and had to start again from the begining.:eek::eek:
Keep warm everyone.

Morning all,
Not a lot to report here. Work were a$$holes yesterday so that was definitely my last day in the office! I have agreed to answer calls until next Friday but limited amounts of calls.
So, what do I do with myself now? Lol, I expected a big epiphany or something but it's the same old routine, just with less outside hassle.
Chores today are bathroom, hoovering, firelighting, and doing something with the LO nut roast when I don't have veg or spuds to go with it. Who knows!
There's a pracel waiting for me at RM, but it's cold and I don't want to go out. I also need to fetch my prescription so I suppose I must venture outdoors.0 -
Hoppy Birdday Beemused and Gintot's DD :bdaycake:Went to Dr with dd yesterday as she keeps getting migraine, she has already cut out caffine and chocolate :eek:now he wants her to cut out cheese, which for a veggie is even harder, he has also prescribed beta blockers, which worried me a bit, but he assures me they will be fine.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

This may sound silly, but what sort of things does she wear on her feet? The reason I ask, is that my uncle suffered really bad migraines; the Doctor was unable to help, so in desperation, he went to a faith healer. (I know, I know, but be patient and read on). She took one look at him, said "Migraine, yes? Your shoes are too tight." True enough, he was habitually wearing shoes that were only just big enough. Anyways, long story short, he got some new, more roomy, shoes, and hey presto, no more migraine! I've since heard that there's a point somewhere in the big toe where acupuncturists place a needle to treat migraine, which adds credence to the theory, so it might be worth taking a look at her footwear, and making sure she's not wearing anything that pinches, even a little. Can't do any harm, anyway.:o
Blimey thats really facinating, she is generally in converse or Ugg boots, both of which are really comfortable, but I will keep an eye on it, thanks hun xx0 -
gintot - hugs coming your way.
Red ruby - ask the doctor for maxalt melts. Put one under your tongue at the first sign of an attack and you can nip it in the bud. Only saying as mum has had migraine for years - due to female cycle, and some tablets doctors put you on can make you gain weight! (or they make you really hungry....). I find that I need to take great care with my sleeping pattern and make sure that I am never without a drink as I can get suddenly thirsty. In the past I've found a VERY low carb diet very effective, but that may just be me.
Will ask the Dr about them at our next appt, we have to go back in 8 weeks.
I am going to have another week of sensible eating, and If I only loose 1lb again, I will low carb, It works wonders for me too, thanks hun xx0 -
RedRuby. Low carbs works for me too, and I absolutely HATE it.:mad::mad::mad::mad:My favourite food in the whole world is bread and if I didn't know that healthwise it was not too good I would live on cheese sandwiches.:o
Still haven't put the heat up, doing a lot of rushing around instead, Just the lounge to vacuum and I can retire to the kitchen.:):)I believe that friends are quiet angels

Has she worked out any pattern? I used to get one about 36 hours before Auntie Flo arrived....not had any cycle-related ones since I used to have Depo jabs and now have a Mirena, though that is probably a bit drastic for your DD!0 -
Happy Birthday to Beemuzed and to Gintot's dd.
:bdaycake::bdaycake:
I have to wait till next January ( a year and five months later) to get a pension and also a bus pass. DH got a bus pass at 60 but rules have now changed - bit annoying as he never uses the bus and I do. Scary how fast time moves.
Used the chicken tagliatelle from last night's meal for lunch today but still have quite a bit left. Might add tin of soup to it, grated cheese on top and freeze it for another day.
DH has grown coriander in large pot so might use some for carrot and coriander soup tonight and make pizza with lots of veg on top as well. Still have some apple crumble left so will finish that tonight,
If I can brave the frosty weather I'll get diced beef out of the freezer in garage for stew or huge pie for tomorrow. Need to wrap up warm to go and get more milk from shop later. Might even look out thermals still in wrapping in wardrobe as it feels really cold today.
Tempted to wear new coat in wardrobe (bought it from TKMaxx in October when thought we were in for months of snow and ice and got a good bargain) but feel a bit self indulgent which is silly.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

Hi Floss  its not related to her periods at all, it really does happen at random times, the only slight pattern is that she gets more on the days that she is at college, (although she still gets them when she has a day off) she is doing very well at college, distinctions etc (sorry not bragging) and I think she puts pressure on herself to do the very best she can.
Its is a very work heavy course, but as I said she gets them on days off too, it was getting so that she had 3 or 4 a week, and was putting herself to bed at 8 in the evening, lets hope the not eating cheese helps, and if not she starts on the beta blockers next week.
