Morning everyone
Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Very frosty and cold here again this morning. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. Dinner last night was gammon, egg, new pots and veg for the menfolk and fish, new pots and veg for me, HM xmas pud was dessert - yummy!
Friend rang on Sunday night to say she had to work on Monday so we were unable to make a start on her kitchen, and she's working the rest of this week too. I don't know when we will be able to get together now to get it cleared but will speak to her again before the end of the week.:o
I haven't decided what we'll be having for dinner tonight, it depends on whether DS1 has rugby training, ground is quite frozen so they may not be able to train - have to wait and see, if rugby is on then it will be a quick tea, if not - have to organise something!!
Was reasonably productive yesterday, got going with the washing, drying and ironing, still some left but everything that is dry is ironed and put away, so will continue with that today, also bought new taps for bath, bathroom sink and kitchen sink, the plumber I use is booked to service the boiler and fit the taps on 3 Feb, couldn't get anything sooner - but they are a really good small local firm who give me excellent customer service so it's not so long to wait and boiler etc is not broken down or anything - just needs servicing. Also had most of the money to pay for them on giftcards - so hasn't actually cost that much! Also want to try today to get the housework done, will also do some work for the caravan rally as the advertisement for it goes out this week and I'm expecting some enquiries asking for information etc so want to be ready.
Need to try to sort my desk out too as I'm disappearing under the huge pile of papers - that's a job for today too - best I get myself into gear then!!
Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

Morning All
Everyone has left the house and peace reigns supreme
The second load of washing is on and the kitchen floor has been scrubbed.
Off for a well earned shower in a little while.
I really must do a cupboard and freezer stock check today and use as much as I can, because we have gone a bit overboard finance wise this month.
It has hit the fan about Luton airport's extension scheme, most people are fuming, because that means more night and early morning flying :mad::mad::mad: It is bad enough with the M1 extension increasing traffic:(
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning All,
Peaceful here after the rush of defrosting cars and a large group of teenage boys at the door waiting for DS3 to get his shoes on.
Got loads of items on ebay and a few finishing in the next 24hrs that people will need to collect. It's amazing the stuff I have sold that would have just gone to the tip in the past. But I suppose one mans rubbish is another mans treasure. It all adds to the Australia pot.
I also need milk and to pop into the library and I need a colour for my hair.
It feels surreal that my DB will be here on Saturday. All the immediate family coming for the evening so need to think of something to cook, that wont cost the earth for about 12 of us.
DM has a really bad chest so have spoke to her every day, she is not sleeping so have been worrying about her, its difficult as she is not just around the corner but will see her Saturday night and then over to Yorkshire for a visit on Sunday.
Spoke to my cousin last night and we always discuss weight, I gave her an update on SW which is going well but she was saying her sister has been hypnotised for weight losss, it cost a £100:eek: but apparently she feels very different and has lost weight already so will be interesting to see if it works.
Anyway enough waffle, good luck to those with exams today
Will make leek and cheese flan of some description for tea with eggs, like a big thick omlette really.
Right off for Breakfast, have a good day J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning :hello:
-5 here today
For the past week, I've been waking up during the night with painful pins and needles in my hand. The only way to ease it is to lie on my stomach and hang my arm off the edge of the bedMust get that looked at.
I was a bit fussy with my curtains, just when I thought I'd got them right, I'd think 'Ooooh no, they need to be 1" wider. Maybe I should make the tabs a bit longer.....no, shorter.....perhaps they're OK as they are.....'Got there in the end, they're pinned and I'll sew them today. That's the easy bit, it'll only take a few minutes.
There's a large quiche in the fridge, along with some chilli that was made in the slow cooker. I wanted to portion and freeze them, but the freezers are full. So there won't be much variety in our diet for the next few days. Specially me, I don't like chilli :rotfl:Bulletproof0 -
Morning all
Frosty here again and have had a bowl of porridge to keep out the cold and on to cup of coffee.
Which reminds me...our cafetiere glass was broken when we got back from visiting DD. DS denied all knowledge....We binned it-still jetlagged-yes I can hear you all shouting nooooooo! So a few days later we were looking for a new one and wincing at the prices when we realised that we could buy a replacement glass. Rushed home and fished cafetiere out of the bin-only in the last carrier bag on the top so easily accessible and ta da a new cafetiere for £6.99. Really pleased.
Have to study the cash flow as DD has 90 day notice of redundancy the day he went back to work from our trip to Japan. He was shocked! I know he just turned 60 in October and was moaning that he had to work to 65 to get his state pension but be careful what you wish for! They got told and then sent home for the afternoon to recover. So we are a week in to the notice period today......I gave up my very part time job in August so we will both be looking for a job!
OH has gone through our direct debits and we must look and see what is the minimum amount we need to live on......Then we need to decide if OH and I need to work or can eke out his redundancy and private pension. Think I might pop over to the frugal living board, the redundancy planning board...Meanwhile I am giving OH lots of support and little treats-as you do... so if you guys could support me I'd be grateful. I haven't even been able to mention this on here earlier but have managed to do it today.
Scuse the essay and have a good day all. Hugs for those who need them, exam good wishes and congrats where appropriate.

Morning!
Tru - get to the doc! x
Adelight - good luck with your exam x and also JackieO's DGS
JackieO - I love Stuart MacBride books too!:)
We are also having major traffic problems here. The only decent route into town is shut(Bridge repairs) for at least ten weeks:eek: which means I have to drive miles round narrow country lanes to get to work - obviously so do a lot of other people so its no fun - having to pull over all the time to let people pass. DH is using a bike as you can still walk or cycle over the bridge but I work 10 miles away so there's no way I'm cycling 20 miles a day!
In to work at 2pm so had a lie in with my kindle - reading a Lee Child(fab books)
Have got the WM on.
Kitchen floor mopped(doggy pawprints everywhere)
Hoping my belt comes today so I can vacuum upstairs.
Have a great day all xDo what you love :happyhear0
