I must say I never bothered with recorded delivery or a cover letter, I just sent the bill off with the slip you are supposed to fill in (after making a copy for myself), and it has always worked brilliantly. You are making me paranoid now!Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0 -
I didn't enclose a covering letter as the printed slip is what CPW ask for and I printed the online bill and sent it off before I received the actual bill in the post.
Did use recorded delivery.
Worked for me:)0 -
Always at least use recorded delivery (personally use Special Delivery but as the vouchers and bills can be copies with CPW, and you have 60 days to claim), it may be unnecessary with my latest deal.

hi all,
received my second cashback installment from cpw on friday. Both my claims to cpw have been sent normal first class (not special or recorded delivery) with covering letter and have received text about two weeks later saying receved. BUT, i have to say, anyone other than cpw, I always send recorded delivery with covering letter.0 -
Hi, it is interesting to see the comments as I was / about to take the plunge and give this cash back thing a go. Especially after seeing the great deals as 'advertised' on this site, like e2Save website. However this morning on BBC I came across an article that gave caution with regards to this as it has been reported that many have in fact not got their money back. A short clip worth watching:

Hi some of these rules do not apply to onestopphoneshop i know its a sister company of cpw but they will make every effort not to pay ur money so ...its the 4th month from the day of ur connection depends which bill u have at that time is what u need to send and not the 4th bill its the 4th month that osps requires be very careful with osps ...

cpw is by far offers the easiest cashback deals in my opinion. I've been doing these cashback deals for 3 years now and cpw have yet to miss a payment, i've only had the one occasion when a bill sent wasnt acknowledged but was eventually sorted out.
Just make sure you read and understand what you are getting into and if you correspond with them do it by email or letter so you have written proof of what is said. That said you shouldnt need to contact them.- When you get the 4th bill (yes you count 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th them),
- Photocopy it and post with that little voucher you can print from their cashback pdf.
- Send it recorded always..
- In 5/10 days you will get a txt confirming recept
- Then a following 5/10 days another text to confirm success in the claim.

I just ordered a 11mth free deal from CPW before Christmas, but I could find the cashback voucher on their cashback site. Also I heard that CPW has changes their cashback policy late last year, all they need is you send back the copy of 4th bil for cashback, is this true?

CitySlicker wrote:Here's the unpublished bit. You are allowed to submit photocopied bills, and do this in case one gets lost in the post. More importantly, if you have access to a fax machine, you can submit by fax. Every department I spoke to told me I couldn't until I emailed the Chief Exec's office. I then got the answer faxes are acceptable, and you can fax them to 07092870782. You can check receipt of your fax (after 24 hours) by calling 02890576597.
