hi ive just ordered the Lg p7200 off the Carphone Warehouse site with 11 months free line rental,
this is my first cashback contract, could someone let me know the do's and don'ts because i dont want to mess it
by the way when i ordered i took off the 1 month free insurance does this effect my cashback in anyway, was i supposed to atleast keep it for the first month?
thanks

I'm with them right now and can offer you some information they don't publish.
The well-known bit is submit the right bills straight away. You will know from your contract which bills to submit - typically on a 12 month contract it's your 4th, 8th and 12th bills. Don't change your tariff without checking the terms of your offer as this could invalidate it.
Here's the unpublished bit. You are allowed to submit photocopied bills, and do this in case one gets lost in the post. More importantly, if you have access to a fax machine, you can submit by fax. Every department I spoke to told me I couldn't until I emailed the Chief Exec's office. I then got the answer faxes are acceptable, and you can fax them to 07092870782. You can check receipt of your fax (after 24 hours) by calling 02890576597.
This is by far the most reliable way of doing it, although I'm sure that phone number you can call to check your postal bill has been received too, I have never submitted a postal bill though it's been by fax here.0 -
hi
All u need to do is send ur 4th bill when u receive it or with 60 dayz of receiving it 8th bill and 12th bill and make sure its first class recorded delivery and i usually send small letter telling them about my details and how much cashback they need to send me ...its not required but i just send the letter and i have alwayz received my cashback
good luck0 -
Always submit a covering letter (stating name/address/mobile no/account number etc).
And state that you have sent it via 1st class/recorded.0 -
thanks alot for the quick replies :j0

I have a cashback contract with OneStopphoneshop, owned by CPWH. I shall take the advice offered! So far their customer service has been non-existant.0

And be aware that you may need to chase it up. I've only had 1 cashback out of CPW so far and it took 3 months from me sending off copies of my bill. Their excuse was that the cheque must have got lost in the post.......Stompa0

My wife and I are currently nearing the end of 2 cashback deals with CPW. I got some advice from them regarding claiming the cashback cheques:
1. Always use recorded or special delivery
2. Always send the original bill AND keep a photocopy (although they do accept the photocopy)
3. Always send a covering letter. PM me if you want our letter as that works fine.
4. Get a cerificate of posting and a receipt from the post office.
5. And, above all, send the letter and bill straight away, don't delay!
CPW are very good as they text you to say they've recieved the application and again when they have processed it.
Another lesser known fact is that CPW will match any genuine advertised cashback deal, if you ask nicely..:DDon't blame me, it was like that when I got here!0 -
I had my second £100 cash back cheque from them this morning I sent yhe bill off about 3 weeks ago by normal 1st class post, had the same service with the 1st installment 1 more to go and so far its been no problem I have not even had to phone them once0

So you took your bills to a CPW store and they faxed it for you without any problems? Did you get the cashback ok?0
