Re the question of why Track and Save tariffs have not decreased in line with British Gas's price reduction, I have received an email from E-ON Customer Services today, which includes the following:

"I understand British Gas reduced their Standard
Electricity Prices on 5th January 2012, by 5percent.
However this reduction only covered their customers
with a single electricity rate. it did not cover
customers who were on an Economy 7 rate.

Thus, as your tariff tracks British Gas' standard
rates for Economy 7 customers, we are unable to pass
on the reduction at this time."

Thanks very much for this Connie, I wasn’t aware that you were an Economy 7 customer but I do recall that British Gas hadn’t reduced their Economy 7 prices this time.

I’m not sure that we do need to change the wording of this on the website though. Track and Save does track British Gas’ standard plan not just Economy 7.

If British Gas lower any of their standard prices, Track and Save will update accordingly. Your Economy 7 prices weren’t reduced this time as British Gas hadn’t reduced theirs.
