i would say no it isnt too old i am 45 nearly 46 and hubbie 41 and we have just adopted a 3 year old boy, my it is hard work but very much worth it.

I was 37 when I found out I was pregnant (and almost 4 months along!) so personally I don't think 38 is too old
LO is 18 months old now so I'll be 40 later in the year. A lot of the girls who were in my year at school have only just started having their first babies so it seems, if anything, quite "ordinary" to me. 0 -
My feeling is that there are limits, but I don't think you are at it. I get peeved when I see a 60-yr old having a child, because to me it starts to seem the parent is putting their own needs above that of their child. But if you are OK with the increased pregnancy risks for you and baby, and feel you will be able to treat a 15 year old child at mid-50s with a young enough outlook - no problem. It may even be that your extra experience will benefit you both here.Favours are returned ... Trust is earned
