Welcome to the thread Sew. You need to be aware that. sometime this evening a new thread will be started for next week.

Don't expect to complete all levels at first; start with level 1 tasks and add a bit in. You will get quuicker and quicker at routine task as you keep up plus there will be less to do each week as you declutter.

Talking of decluttering. DS wanted soup. I have only tomato in tins so I have trawled through the packet box and found, and flung OOD packets (mixes and savoury rice) thought it wasn't to far OOD being October - then realised it's now 2012 and the October was 2010!
So more *flings* to add to yesterday's CS run!
    *FLING*
And it was tom soup or nowt. He's had tom soup! Yesterday I went to Mr T's  because I found a £6 off a £40 shop voucher - and, when I was paying a £2 tesco voucher (I never get enough to save for deals!) so £8 saved.

oh - I have to turn the water supply to the WM off - there's a slow, unstoppable leak, I'm guessing the pipework thread is 'off' - will be done when I have the kitchen refitted so for now I'm storing my mop under it ;) and turning off when not in use.
What I found under the WM when I slid it out yesterday was utterly, utterly gross. IF I knew WHICH cat left THAT gift ...goodness only know HOW it got UNDER there!
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

    Afternoon all

Lost the diamond out of my engagement ring this morning. So lucky after 30 minutes searching I decided to put a new bag in the hoover and hoover room by room, checking the bag as I went and found it in the first room, bathroom. Very happy. Need to take ring to be fixed and I'll get a current valuation certificate whilst there.

Really sad news that the son of a local family has been seriously injured by a taxi. They are a lovely family and he is a fine young man so please send some healing and coping vibes for them all if you can.

Off to fix some trousers and hoover the living room.

hi dusty, same thing happened to me when i was on hols in the summer! thankfully i found the diamond fairly quickly but it one of the worst feelings i have ever felt as i stupidly did not have it insured!!

turns out it fell out cos i was clinging on too tightly when i was riding a camel!! the ring was squashed into an oval shape...i had no idea that it was even possible for that to happen! i ended up getting the diamond re-set into a different setting and now have it insured!! i am also extra careful with it...taking it off when i'm doing pretty much everything!

    Hi all,

Well the weekend hasn't really gone as planned. I seemed to spend the whole day yesterday in different supermarkets looking for an obscure ingredient that DH 'needed' for dinner, or ferryonmg the kids to & from activities. I managed to get the washing up to date, then DS came home from orienteering covered in mud
Our dinner guests arrived at 5pm & I managed to drink a whole bottle of wine :o so am feeling less than chirpy today - lol.

Flying wise - well DH is a star! He did the bathrooms & hoovered the whole of downstairs yesterday. DS did the socks, DD emptied the bins, DS did the recycling, and DD will clean the school shoes later. And I've done pretty much nothing at all :o

Tonight I will do HHI x3
I also still need to finish my parents VAT return

Slow but steady here today on my part.

The shopping was done and put away and fridge cleared out in the process. DD wanted to make bread but after cleaning up all the stuff she used to make her pancakes for breakfast she has disappeared again. Doogie isn't walked yet and if she leaves it until its dark again she will be in trouble. DH has had a few hours sleep and has disappeared again presumably to play on the PS3.

I still have ALL the washing to sort and start, as some is needed for the morning and then dinner to prepare and cook.

Glad you found the diamond Dusty, I had one replaced in a vintage ring I have and it cost over 400 pounds, luckily the house insurance paid out.

Right off to do some more

ETA sorry forgot to say hugs for the lad and his family
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
