    Morning all

Sorting out a load of financial stuff before heading into town this morning. Still operating on a very short fuse today so I need to try hard to curb that.

Mrs Chaos please can you show me the link about the boys and HPV link? Me too please

JJ my house is just the same when I down tools for a few days. Don't be hard on yourself you have had alot to deal with this week. It took my ages to settle down when my Grandmother passed away. I can still have a wobble now and it's 2 years in April. I agree with this as well

I'll wash up before I head out. I've been updating my list on the first page, leaving on what I have done and it is amazing how it adds up.

Moam~ happy belated birthday hope you had a wonderful day xx

Julie~ slow down, get the kids to help out, as you say they are 8 and 10, they will be able to clear their toys etc away and tidy up for you, even hoover.

My house is a mess, from the plumber / heating guys, heating is now sort of working, they don't know yet what is wrong with the bit that isn't, (TBH I'm not too bothered about the heating bit) the hot water is still not working at all, so it has been MADE to work via some extra wiring and cables for now, I am not happy with the safety of it all, but it works for now, and I have been assured it is safe for now!

I stood over it for half and hour last night while it 'made' hot water, then turned it all off again. The water was luke warm this morning, but it did the job of washing us.:D

    I have:
    Wm is on
    All washing etc gathered
    Bed stripped and remade
    Toilets bleached
    Kitchen cleaned down
    Bin cleaned

Told plumber I want all his stuff out in the garage over the weekend if he is not sorted etc, then I will have clear floors to hoover etc.

What with work etc, everything else is going to have to wait!

Well off the lists this week, sorry.

  • Hi all,

I am following you quietly and just doing what I can to keep up with the housework. Could someone tell me what "60 in 60" is please? I haven't come across that one before!

Julie.. big hugs for you all... 8 is about the age they realise mortality is a forever thing and it does hit them harder, they seem to have no control over the emotion.. but.. that is a credit to you.. they feel comfortable displaying their emotions to you which is good.. sod the cleaning pull them in to help.. a bit of picking up and putting away, dusting, vacuuming.. the mind numbing stuff you can do together then all go have a snuggle up on the sofa with a film and some tissues. Just hold them close and make them feel safe and talk about grandad and his passing... they might be fearing they will die or you will and just be a bit overwhelmed.

It is so hard to post as half my keys dont work properly and I have to keep going back to add the skipped letters..

Hiya, I wondered this as well. If you go back to the first page in this thread and look at Post 1, there is a link to toots welcome. There is outlines several things. My understanding is that 60 in 60 is to try and declutter and clear out 60 things in 60 mins. I assume you can recylce, charity shop, ebay them etc.
  • Ah thanks, Allie23, I hadn't gone back that far!

In which case the "60 in 60" sounds like something I ought to do before I try and tackle anything else!! We are almost drowning in clutter! :rotfl:
