In England, when that happens, we turn over and go back to sleep. You really must get into the habit of living like a native :rotfl:

In Scotland, we get up, make tea and visit MSE. :) (then fall asleep around 2pm)!

I just wanted to say Welcome Home too.

My OH keeps nattering to go to warmer climes, which sounds nice, I have to admit, but then I said to him, yes but once you get there
what will we do all day, every day, week in, week out, mmm, no answer:D

Neither of us are 'sit in the sun' people.

I wish you everything you would wish for yourselves.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

    Greetings from sunny Salamanca :hello:

It's nice to go travelling, but so much nicer to be home. You are fortunate that your buyers are so patient.

Indeed, but they also know they have got the bargain of the century. I think they had a reality check when they found their budget would not buy them what they thought it would. Luckily we were able to come down a long way.

We sold our property in Spain for a knockdown price also. Glad we did now looking at the property collapse in Spain.

The old expression that everything will sell at the right price is very true and we were fortunate that we could afford to take a bit of a hit on the price.

Our neighbours who had had their similar property on the market for 2 years have still not found a buyer and never will if they do not adjust their asking price very sharply downwards.
  • Quite true krisskross, some people I know whose house has been for sale for three years just refuse to drop the price saying 'it's worth the asking price'...but no-one ever even comes to look at it now. If no-one is even coming through the door, then the price is too high.

We took a hit of about 18%.

Ours was about 20% but we had had a few years in the sun, experienced another culture, learned a bit of Spanish etc. Oh and the family loved their cheap holidays, we had never been so popular!

18% less than you paid for it? Or 18% less than you thought it was worth?
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
