God knows where the Internet went to .... spent the weekend 'improving' some pages on my site (checking links, updating stuff, etc) ... income today is £1.50.
At this rate I'll need a job soon.....0 -
You need an ipad, there is a neat little app that makes selling on Ebay a dream. Cuts the job down to about 3 minutes per item.
One of the issues is photos too. Walk into the room, camera in hand. Move everything out of the way. Aim camera.... light's not right, stuff needs moving further away... move stuff again, try to get more light into the room (hate flash) ... have another go, fall over something you moved as you're backing up. Still can't quite photograph it + curtains/carpets/wallpaper are showing and not great.... snap. Now, you've no idea how good that photo is, so you take 3-4 more. Put everything back, run to the PC, remove card from camera, slide it into PC, wait and click some stuff until you find it on the card. Look - looks OK (it'll do), then open up a new folder and transfer the images from the card in case you lose your 'good work'.
Then you have to describe it - and half the time that's the trouble. How you describe furniture to its best advantage, might be a design name you're missing off, or a wood type that's sought after (and you've no idea what it's made of anyway).
Just had to photograph a dressing table with full length mirror.... top tip: crouch down so the ceiling is reflected in the mirror.... but not the lampshade. And a wardrobe with a mirror.... had to move stuff and position myself so least cr4ppy stuff (that I'd shifted onto the bed/floor) was viewable.
Repeat.... for what could potentially be dozens of things.... and all against a backdrop of my experience in the past where I've had no bids, and non-payers. In an ideal world somebody'd come round and take everything, then sell it and give you half or something..... AND - be reliable (that's another thing, people aren't reliable).0 -

Thats what the ipad does easily. Aim ipad at item and click - it loads the picture straight to Ebay. You can loan a few and decide which to use easily.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I've just done my first Tesco online order. Really need some lessons.
Very easy as it has a record of all my clubcard previous shops, so easy to find things, but I can't get the hang of the discount codes. I'm surrounded by coupons with no codes, sure I missed a trick. I did get the first time shopper discount and quidco.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Martin launched a neat little bit of software that helps people find collection only bargains, so that may generate some interest.
Imagine a house where there's a small town of shiftless itinerants... then there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for 20 miles. It's a tough area for anything: buying or selling, it's just hard to achieve anything.0 -

You got the biggies if you got the £5 quidco plus the £10 new customer voucher although of course quidco charge £5 per annum whereas topcashback is free (would anyone like a referral to join TCB?) The other codes can be a bit poo as they are often on items that can be bought cheaper elsewhere. Did you order in time to get the petrol voucher (offer needs to be on on your delivery date)? Other advice is that orders delivered on Friday/Saturday are more likely to end up with substitutions than those due on other days.
I have just spoken to a broadcast network who are doing a piece on cashback sites but they wanted bad experiences rather than good ones. I am also talking to another newspaper tomorrow about the same thing.I've just done my first Tesco online order. Really need some lessons.
