I always wanted to learn Russian but never got round to it...dare say now that we are getting more Russian riders, I will come across and have to learn the swear words pretty damn quick so that I can continue moderating the sites I do.

I'm getting pretty good at swearing in umpteem different languages now!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

A relative's moving and phoned me today.... their poles need to be hand-curved to fit their huuuuuuge new bay window. Curtains bill alone is £5k just for one window.

Talk about POSH ALERT!!! I'll be going to see those later this year..... shock and awe as somebody spends more than I expect to earn this year on some bits of fabric :)

Mnd you - it's an expensive gaff.... in a millionaire's playground. Doesn't do me any good though does it, I won't get it/live there :)

    LOL/fed up - they do don't they!

I've never understood enough about curtain poles to have the confidence to choose/buy any and then find a little man to fit them... not to mention how you size up the right curtains (width/length) .... which is one of the reasons my last house never ended up having curtains .... it was all too complex for me to understand/achieve.

If I ever built my own house .... which I won't.... for window design I'd start by getting a list of standard curtains/blinds sizes, then compare that to standard window sizes ... and I'd try to get as many windows all the same size.

I've seen so many Grand Designs where every window has had to be made by hand because they all differ in size... and it wasn't a difference that would have made one iota to the design, so I've always thought them bizarre to do it.

I'm busy. Apiece of work arrived this morning that looks like the yellow pages, so that should continue to keep me plenty occupied! :)

Pn, i don't know how to measure either. This one, ultimately, is only going to take a very light curtain (over shutters in our shower) so it only had to be a bit wider than the window. The others i am not sure about, so i am taking gambles. If they do not look right i can sell them/give to charity shops.

Been kept in a box or slightly disappointed at the prospect of being sold from their current home?
