On a serious note, that’s £2250 that’s tax free, who can moan at that?!

Please don’t be so judgemental Pastures
Anyway, I’m not Russian, therefore not an Oligarch 💙💛 💔0 -
May be if I take up PNs suggestion of a tent in the garden it would be rent-a-room compatible?!
Silvercar that isn't mine you have seen.
CK do you know any Russians (or better Georgians of course) who would fancy renting ours?
So far we have had an enquiry from what sounds like 2 French families but only one week. I wish the site offered some tracking statsI think....0 -

Where are you Michaels?!
Most of the people I know from that region are here for 6 weeks in the summer, not for the olympics, which may be the problem.
The deadline to contact the Invest in Georgia website (who are running the Georgian olympic rentals for the main part) was March, sorry
Edit: One of the press guys has just asked me how I felt about owning HayFanat (which I especially wanted to keep quiet whilst I was in Azerbaijan of all places).
Just a random thing that could technically have me imprisoned/chucked out the country 💙💛 💔0 -
Found yours on tripadvisor. Slide show is gimmicky. No pictures of your lounge(s) or kitchen and your bathroom is called "living room 1" which is a bit offputting.
Picture of the back garden covered in snow? Well, that's very distinctive, I must say. Particularly as the listing says: "Skiing: Property Is In A Ski Resort"No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
It's definitely yours. Picture of two Fiat Multiplas in the garage. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Well I'd like to leave London for the Olympics and 4.5k for 3 weeks would make it possible. Most stuff would go in the roof and we don't really have precious objects so wouldn't mind the tenants using pretty much anything. It should be tax free income in DWs name (or under 'rent-a-room' scheme
) WE would probably go and stay with my parents in Devon for 3 weeks and use the money to get lots of things done here that need doing but are waiting for funds/a reason to make the effort.
It must work, I suppose, because people do house swaps quite successfully. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
chewmylegoff wrote: »Definitely not rent a room compatible as the whole property is being let. I think it would be taxed in line with the ownership of the house so if the house is in joint names then income split 50/50 on tax returns.
I know of at least one case where a house owned jointly and rental income came out of 1 tax returnThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
