I'd be worried if it was my daughter that was appearing on this show just before her "A" level exams next week (Ashleigh's 17 apparently).

There's rumours about them going to the US to be involved in dog food advertising.

Fair enough if they make some money, good luck to them, but this is a crucial time in somebody's education, and most teenagers would have enough on their plate about now.:(
Maybe she's not doing A levels... and had her sights on becoming a dog groomer or dog trainer since she was 5.

Not everybody goes to Uni... .even now.

Also, I think she's in lower sixth form, so a year away from A levels.... and with £500k prize money + earnings about to materialise, she can always catch up and do the whole Uni thing some time in the next 10-15 years.... if she wants.

Feeling v naughty this morning. Slept for 10 hours straight.

We feel naughty too.....went to our amazing nursery. Bought a pink pseudoacacia, quite a few scented pelagoniums (i love these, but avtually dh went crazy buying them and a few more verbascum. (jacquie and southern charm, i just love southern charm, i also love carribean crush.....). Oh, but this pink tree is so pretty, much nicer than the yellow ones. The place we need to plant it is not ready, but we will t it on and plant with a digger if it gets that big when it is ready.

    mmmmmm. Spot on.

I've been prowling through scotch egg recipes this week.... my hobby isn't making food ... it's looking at pictures of it and eating it.

At witrose atm they have a scoth egg with black pudding instead of sausage meat. Dh thinks it is one of the best things he has ever eaten.

I think the top half is an arrivals hall at an airport and the bottom half is a random 1960s concrete office block, but I'm not certain.

Doh, just noticed that Wheezy's already answered and said the same. Does anyone else scroll through posts and then miss a bunch?

I often find that even if i refresh and get the last posts, some of the middly ones aren't showing for me till i have posted, and sometimes intil later. Most odd.

I spotted a picture of those yesterday in my image travels.... a place north-west of you makes some. handmadescotcheggs.co.uk I think it is.

Horrid thought... black pudding anywhere near anything to be eaten.

Edit: Just had a look, yes that was the url. I found this concept interesting too:

There's a list of events they attend on the left of their site too.

On the basis I've not had a visitor in any place I've lived for about 10 years..... that's an excuse.

    Start inviting.

AS levels at the end of the first year at 6th form are mid May. They count for half the A level score so are crucial.

Even if a person had no intention of going to university, having their A level qualifications under their belt would be a better start to a career than not having them.

OH has gone to manchester to watch some football match :(

Apparently it is the first time in years his team could get/do/be something or other. My response was that he had clearly chosen the wrong team.

I can't here and once I move I expect to be sleeping on a lilo and using a garden chair for my own furniture.....

Even when I had a house I never had a table.

And I don't know anybody. I am also "jumpy" when people are in my space.

And now you're doing that bizarre thing of creating solutions for problems that don't exist. You're suggesting I invite people round... just so I can buy milk??? Eh?

Oh, I've never heard of AS levels. I don't know what happens in schools. I left with 2 O levels and went to learn to type.

Back then you studied subjects for two years, then sat exams and passed or failed.

Also, "career" - not everybody has a career. I've not. I've had jobs. In my day you "left school and got a job", usually at 16.
