It now works out at £70 a night incl breakfast which seems like amazing value to me. I've stayed in a premier inn in the middle of nowhere up north which charged more than that! Very MSE.
An advantage of booking flight separately that i had never thought of.

A wine fridge would be cheaper than a wine cellar. I have seen wine cellars that operate like a dumb waiter - raising and lowering on the press of a button...very expensive.
Incorporate a wine fridge in the new kitchen. Ideally you want one with 2 separate temperature controlled areas, one for red and one for wine. Though if you don't buy expensive wines, the red can always be kept at room temperature.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. It would be a waste of time me incorporating a wine cellar or fridge in my house..my wine rack (complete with wine), has sat untouched for the last 5 years. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Wine fridge would have to go in an outbuilding, which is fine, for some reason my massive kitchen doesn't seem to take much furniture. But it does limit buying a bit. With some things its just easier to buy a couple of crates and then forget about buyiing more for a few years, but then you have to stash it somewhere.
I think we should see what the building plans are there, it might be that we have to go so low for foundations that it makes sense to whacka cellar in o suppose. We will see.0 -

Thats what we have atm too. I wou
D like that back, its where all the dining room serving stuff should be.
I also think it might be time to review some of my junk. E.g. I used to colllect cups, saucers and matching cake plates, for afternoon teas. They take up a whole shelf in the side board, and never all get used at the same time. I think i should consider rehoming at least some of them now. Problem is dh doesn't want me to get rid of them.0 -

Could you not store some stuff for PN, then?
Sure why not, we could be onto a new business idea here, people spend a fortune on storage units, so why not just rent a cupboard at my house.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017
