Your old TV is 40"? However big is the new one in the lounge? This is one post I'm definitely going to stop DH reading (heck, just realised I'm fulfilling all the sssss's view of me again).

For lir, a news story I thought you might find interesting. For some reason I came across it while looking for economic news stories, though what horse genetics have to do with economics is beyond me:

I'd worry about how you clean it. anything without a smooth surface could carry germs. What cleaning products are safe and won't either cover it in limescale or eat away the surface.

    Probably stardrops ... :)

Seems to be used for everything on Old Style.

I am reluctant to put anything on the wall in case the wall comes down in the process.

All our TVs sit on TV stands. (or should that be "stand" on TV stands?)

AH the alter, now I understand. I imagined an alter would have a big cross on it!

Gosh thanks, very interesting. I love domestication theries. Not for horses, but for cats and dogs, i am really very taken with the animal lead domestication theories.

Mine is pn a table in the corner with a cloth over it like a parrot. I hate it.

Edit. I meant on. Pn is not covered with a cloth in my corner.

Ah, I had a brain fart..... I read what you said about an altar, but for some bizarre reason my brain was seeing "font".

So I was imagining a solid, dark/black rock, gothic style, font .... with big faceted glass-type stones embedded up it.

    :)
