    1994. Is mine the newest?

Not technically mine, but my parents' house was built in 1997. Been away for a couple of days...this week's random job was being a poll clerk :)

Time travel would be brilliant for this sort of stuff.... to be able to go back and observe.... and to have conversations with people that were simply fact-finding, not earth-altering.

Imagine being able to go back, to a date your time machine said it was exactly .... and see people building, altering, living there.... and being able to stand at the gate and engage them in conversation.

You might like this book then Pastures (apologies, I have also mentioned before):

    1969 here too.

The last house I lived in was built in the 1800's and the one previous to that was far older, but I'm not sure when it was built.

I think my house is 1990's. Paper thin walls, tiny, bit of cottage styling going on with cute gable porches, but built on an old Garden Centre with lovely mature trees. Its very pretty at Christmas :)

Welcome to the NPT corrag. There's quite a few of us from Hertfordshire on here, the others might start to think we are taking over!

The house I grew up in was built in about 1890, I think, and the school I went to was built (as a house, not a school) in 1735ish.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    but we are mwahahahaha...

Thanks for the welcome. This certainly is a nice thread.

Anyone got plans for the Bank Holiday weekend? My partner is working nights till Sunday so I'll be home with the dog. I'm planning a bit of pampering (For me not the dog), a bit of baking, visit my folks and generally enjoy not being at work :)

    Welcome corrag. :hello:

I will be working this bank holiday. But then I do get the whole week instead of just the Mon/Tues bank holidays at the beginning of June, so I'm not complaining. :)

Edit: I am not in Hertfordshire.
