Living it up then?
Nah....
When I came home from dropping her off at the airport, westie didn't know what was going on. It's the first time his 'mommy' goes away and he's been sitting on his !!!!!! at the window looking out to the front gate a lot, waiting for her to come back.
But he's over it now. He's such a mommy's boy.0 -
I'm a mushroom lover too......
Been a quiet few days here, still not that well resulting in me almost missing the school pick up this afternoon as I sat down after doing some housework and the next thing I knew my phone was ringing....it was James asking where I was, I'd been completely sparko on the sofa.
I think my problem is I am still trying to run about and do everything I usually do and my body is not liking it too well, I'm just so drained all the time and can't seem to shift this blooming cold.
One bit of news, youngest was invited to join the school debating group, no idea why as he doesn't 'do' debates (James would have been a better choice as he can debate all blooming day about pretty much anything) but he went today...and was left completely confuzzled and unimpressed with it all. More confusingly, he said he was going to go again next week.......strange child. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Lydia, are you keeping up with the "tariff" situation?
Yes, but only from the point of view of encouraging a couple of workmates who might be going to get panels - because if they do I can get the referral payments. My panels were installed in September, so from the point of view of my finances, it's quite immaterial whether the drop in FiTs is for panels installed after 12 December or only for those after 3 March. Thanks for thinking of me though.
It's reassuring, though, to see a second court agreeing with the first one that the FiT levels shouldn't have been dropped until after the end of the consultation period. It's a very strong precedent that actual retrospective changes to my tariff would be unequivocally unlawful. I wasn't worrying about it - this country has a pretty long history of not changing anything financial retrospectively - but an extra layer of security is no bad thing.

Hope the sleep did you good. Look after yourself, Sue.
Latest news here is that my friend (the one who doesn't like open tread stairs) has decided to view the house next door to mine, and another house too. She's going to see them both tomorrow, and taking along me and another friend. At least, she's taking me provided that DD's "I can't sleep my tummy hurts" doesn't materialise into anything bad enough to keep her off school. I'm not sure what attitude she'll be viewing it with. Could be "I really don't like this house but I need to keep viewing stuff to keep the EA believing that I'm keen", or could be "There's nothing I like out there, and hasn't been for ages, so maybe I'd better compromise on the stairs etc". It'll be interesting to see how it goes tomorrow.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Interesting programme just started on Channel 4. Police forces/similar that track down and catch fugitives. They've had a big surge in people hiding in the UK due to open borders making it easy for them to get here and hide.

I think your safe Lydia and it's one thing bringing the cut off forward and a very different thing changing the tariff agreement.
I was quoting for work with an electrical installation company who use my expertise and they feel people won't go for it as it's not clear cut now.
The interesting thing is they say they have to pay upfront for the panels as distributors don't give credit on panels, which you can understand.
Did you have to pay upfront or after the job was done?Latest news here is that my friend (the one who doesn't like open tread stairs) has decided to view the house next door to mine, and another house too. You have to try and be emotionally detached and try and understand their "needs", which can be quite hard when it's a similar house to yours as you realised the last time.0 -
I have decided this morning that if february really is cold i might spend it almost entirely in bed.0
