Throw in gas, which would come to around 30p a cake (using the cheapest supplier) and NMW during the first 12 months as an intern NP cake maker (MSE promotes this for interns), you’re looking at around £476/month (based on Mrs CK cooking)
I owe LIR £5712!
And there’s method in the madness of the above :money:
There is a moment dh calls the brownie moment. It occurs just a few seconds, maybe half a minute if the person has particularly blunt taste buds, after they bite into one of my brownies. They make a noise that could eminate from the bedroom as easily as the tea table....and stop chewing for a second while they register the delight of what is in their mouths.
Small moment of intense pleasure, more chocolatey than chocolate, as tender In the mouth than a lovers tongue....... So, not the cheapest brownies to make, but probably among the best.:D
The weird thing.....i don't even like brownies that much:rotfl:0 -
i think we need to whip up some of those brownies for paxman tonight.0

Great. Can you send a few thousand to lir to ensure we all get cakes delivered once a month for a year?
Ta muchly.
I feel I may throw a spanner in the works here.
I don't like cake.
Would it be possible for CK to commission me a nice fruit tart instead? I find cake a bit too sweet and prefer a nice fruity pastry instead. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

you forget that lir is a professional
also she has blue eggs and we know blue eggs are a premium at waitrose.
god, newsnight is mawkish. tax relief is being targeted.
Actually, if i go to ckhalvashi's kitchen he can also pick my brains and use some of my other very rusty skills fr anther business endeavour he mentioned.....
But eggs, today i had white, green, blue, brown And normal colured eggs...a good day after the weekends offerings....not helped by one of my older hens having decided ro eat eggs. I should kill her, but i am very, very fopnd of her.
My favourite eggs atm are the white ones, very small, laid by a sicialian buttercup hen. I am considering putting a breeding flock of them together, but the eggs aren't very salable, though terribly pretty in my eyes.0 -

I like making fruit tarts, but they are not so pretty. To my taste bud, they are fruit tarts are sweeter than most cakes i make though. Probably not helped by the almond or hazle nut layer i feel compelled to put it to soak up fruit juices.
I am trying to decide which variety of quince to plant. Having my own quinces here will change a lot i cook, i know it.0 -

I’ve...errm...’borrowed’ a copy from County Hall (that is destined for a library in Hertford next week, so need to return it before it goes out).
Interesting doc, and I’m going to try and find a Media version on there, as I’m on a studio-expanding mission (from 34 to 70-ish)
Thanks for that, I didn’t even know it existed!💙💛 💔0 -

And that moment really does exist and that noise really did emanate from somewhere when I bit into oneAs soon as we got home, the last two were devoured as we justified the fact that DD wasn't getting one by telling each other that she wouldn't mind - she was asleep. I did try to leave her her half, but failed. DH didn't even try.
I was going to say that I'm pretty sure there's more than £1.50 worth of 'stuff' in those cakes! I think there's an apothecary and Magick involved somewhere.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
