Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

spent all day indoors waiting for a delivery only to get a phone call that it won't arrive today and they will deliver to me tomorrow

Yes, near there, although I hardly ever go in there these days unless I want some bread. I do occassionally use the car wash in the homebase opposite so that may be a better assassination arena. If a supermarket themed hit is desirable, then I recommend waitrose at east sheen.
That new 'undateables' show (which I was watching for tips and hints the other night) is sponsored by rightmove, and one of the adverts for it had a picture of that "draw a map" facility going on right over the top of my house. So if you just nuke that general area that is also an option.0
