Our bank manager spent 6 months on a diet of 700 calories a day to lose 4 stone. He said he couldn't be done with doing it gradually and wanted the results. Since then, he eats what he wants but runs 40k a week to maintain his weight. 'Nuff Respect to him.

that's more or less what i did, although probably more like 1,200 calories food, no booze for three months and an hour a day in the gym.

the trouble with doing loads of exercise and subsisting entirely off ice cream (which is what i do now) is that if you pick up an injury so that you can't go to the gym for a bit, but you don't lose your appetite and so it's very difficult to stop eating three tubs of ben and jerries a day.

I think I saw you write the answer for the bottom right and if I did, I still have no clue what that is. I know all the others, the third row on the right that was the second one I got, it's someone and someone, iyswim. Top right, I wonder if you might have grown up by then? You'll kick yourself otherwise.

Yes, I wrote the answer, but edited it out, not to spoil the fun.
Got them all now. Top right was indeed a bit after 'my time' but a younger colleague helped me out. :)

Just on a MSE note, they're on promo in Tesco at the moment.
    2.13 per tub I think.
Got a couple for Mrs. Wheezy yesterday and she loves me a bit more now.

Lemonjelly, are you on twitter? It's just three of the pics you've posted in the last week have appeared on my twitter timeline by the same person after you've posted them. Either the person I follow is getting them from the same source, has the same sense of humour as you and it's a coincidence, or they're a NP too.

I've not wanted to show my hand in an open forum... but two proceedables offered within 2 minutes of each other in the past hour. Knocked them back. Increased offer put forward.

I should be making a decision tomorrow.

OK... so, I understand that I should look at the pictures to see "who they are". I couldn't have worked that out without that instruction :)

Judging by the cryptic clues posted here, I'd fail at that anyway.

Heck - I am so useless at "who's who" that I'd probably not know who they were if they were photos!!

See now I'm trying to work out if I want you to change your avatar or not. It's off-putting, in a nice way. I was wondering when George Clooney might have had a weight issues, seeing as you've now become him in my head.

On second thoughts, perhaps we should all change our avatars to pictures of international sex symbols. Then we can be gorgeous people as well as nice people.

    Good news!

Thank them for their interest but keep knocking 'em back until you hear the word final at least twice. ;)

Pastures, re the Lego. Have a look at my avatar and you should be able to work the first one out.

My favourite one is the second one, I had to get the others before I could get that one, but it makes me chuckle now I can see it.

missk, I agree re Zumba, but as you are such a Strictly fan have you considered taking up ballroom dancing? I don't know how old this list is (it has the right name for my local school though) but may be a good starting point:

Pastures, I would not get too excited about this, if I were you. I received a PM giving me the names of all the "people" in the pictures, and I had only heard of 2/8 of them. It is a bit like one of those jokes where you have to have the punchline explained to you several times. Or a terribly clever impersonation on the television of somebody you have never seen before.

For those who get it, it is great fun, and for the rest of us it is just not worth worrying about.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
