The other room you would have approved of, I think, was the artisan's workshop in which I learned how to gold leaf.
Yow'm posh!:cool:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
lemonjelly wrote: »Just googled these. What are they like? Citrus-y? Tangy? Sharp? Sweet? Juicy?
What is their texture?
What are they most like?
What do they go with?
Do I eat em raw, or in a pie/crumble etc?
Tangy but nt citrisy, tart. Almost inedibly so for some.
Texture, seeds surounded by jucy stuff, like passion fruit, but seeds less crunchy, then tin layer of firmish flesh, smother than peach.
Most like..hmm. Tart passionfruit? No. Truely there own thing.
Go with.....when a food is as rare a this.....nothing, eat as a naughty snack....naughty becase,...
Eat 'em raw, sliced lengthways and sprinkled with sugar, leave for twenty mins, then eat with a teaspoon or grapefruit spoon, the seeds and flesh, not the skin. I ea em sugar free, but most people prefer them sweetened

Anything like a dew plum?
The archery was actually just a throw away reference to Hunger Games. However it would be great to have the funds to give the kids all these opportunities - I think I should have chosen god-parents more carefully - any NP looking to adopt a few extra god children?I think....0 -
I like fruit that is almost sharp to taste. Not quite ripe plums, kiwi etc. I like it when one eye starts closing...
I may give them a whirl...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I've just been googling mashed potato recipes for my recipe collection. It's all stuff I'd like to cook, could cook, might cook .... the reality is I won't cook any of them ever probably.
There's no joy in cooking for one. If it's !!!! you've wasted your time and have to start again and think of something else. If it's good, there's nobody there to say "that's bl00dy good".
Breakfast today was sausages/scrambled eggs/beans.
Lunch was two half toasted crumpets with butter (half toasted as the toaster started smoking due to some burning remnants of a fat wholemeal roll I'd halved/toasted the other day, and I didn't want to set the smoke alarm off).
Tea was some midget gem sweets.0 -

Edit: in fact, maybe we should set it up next weekend, if the weather is decent.
Wore the wrong helmet, got a splinter in the head

How on earth do you eat that? If it's just the pips part in the middle, there's so little it's not worth battling to get to it.
Or do you eat the whole thing? Is the outside like a peach (soft/eat), or like an orange (hard/don't eat)?0 -
